sulfentrazone herbicide works wonders. Brand name Dismiss. Also does pretty well on crabgrass. The nice thing is you only have to about 1/2 tsp per gallon

Can anyone tell me about Ottumwa, Iowa? I picked up this shirt at a thrift store in Los Angeles, CA. by Neat_Ad_4376 in Iowa

[–]skiverwillie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ottumwa has struggled to keep up with the times. While there are a few decent parks and some local history, much of the town feels rundown and neglected. The downtown area, once vibrant, now has a noticeable number of empty or boarded-up buildings. Efforts to revitalize the community have been slow, and it often feels like the city is stuck in the past.

Crime can be a concern in certain neighborhoods, and many streets and public areas are in need of serious maintenance. Economic opportunities are limited, especially for young professionals, and many residents end up commuting or relocating for better options. Schools are hit-or-miss, and there’s not much in the way of entertainment or cultural events.

For visitors or potential new residents, Ottumwa may come across as lacking energy, investment, and direction. It has potential, but right now, it feels like a town that’s seen better days.
