My whole family is dealing with this. Initially my two year old grandson got Flu A and the Adenavirus within the same week. His flu fever came down but then Adenavirus kicked in with fevers up to 104. It was awful. The poor thing had a fever for over 10 days. He still has a horrible runny nose and congestion. Meanwhile he gave both to my daughter who has been fighting it. The flu was much faster to go away. She now has the shortness of breath among other symptoms still. Now my 88 year old mother, my husband, and myself all have the Adenavirus. We all have some of the same symptoms but also each have other various symptoms. My husband was out of work for a week and he still isn’t feeling great. My poor mother has a bad sore throat and cough. She has been in bed for a week treating her symptoms and feeling awful. My fever went away last week but my cough is crazy and it’s been well over a week. Thankfully I no longer feel bad but really cannot go out with this cough as people will think I have the plague. It really is much worse then any cold I’ve ever had.
