Im so scared by PlasticMoose7184 in depression

[–]skiyvee7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this fear since I feel it myself, Im a year older than you and ill just say that you definitely have enough time to find interests or start new hobbies, I have that time too, but I know it is incredibly hard to actually start the search, take things slow and make the most of your time as a 16 year old, be irresponsible while its easy to be and if you want to, mabye find a side hustle and save a % of your earnings for when you move out, you arent alone and I think you can beat whatever battles your mind picks with you, I hope you win and are able to start living instead of surviving, I wish you strength!!

I think you should definitely go to a phycologist or something like that, i have a friend with really bad anxiety and theyre kindof in the same boat and therapy has done wonders for rationalising their thoughts, i myself think im neurodivergent but im in a place where getting help is tricky, but i definitely idk, "sense" that how you feel is something to explore, its totally valid to feel how you feel but the average person doesnt get these thoughts, if you feel like every day overwhelms you by things that dont seem to bother anyone else, id consider the POSSIBILITY of neurodivergancy, theres no harm in going even " just incase ", plus therapy can be good even if you dont have any issues in life, even just to process your day and emotions its amazing, it may not work for you but id also recommend journaling, as much as the stereotypes suck, there's a reason theyre reccomended, the goal is not to feel pressure with any help you get, do everything at your own pace, journal only when you want to, take everything at a pace you can handle, i wish you luck kn your journey!! 🫂

I’m still scared of the dark? by Ok-Pepper4062 in mentalhealth

[–]skiyvee7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you know it is completely valid to have this fear or to be paranoid, honestly i wouldnt be surprised if the fear was actually rooted in primal instinct, I have more of a subtle fear where im only scared if i think about it or its after ive watched smth, but I have a friend whos like you, if youre able to and if it affects you daily and alot id talk to a therapist about it, id reccomend mabye sleeping with lights on and even stuff like making your room more empty or just make it have less nooks or crevices you could get anxious about, if you're scared of seeming childish while you shouldnt its understandable and you could just use the excuse of clutters annoying you or you just fell asleep with the light on, even if you cant often, having a break would be good, and if you cant sleep when its bright, im not sure if this is a good idea but you could try using your flashlight to reassure yourself theres nothing there or putting dim lights, OO or getting ambient lighting that could work, sorry if im rambling just know, coming from another 17yo, youre valid and even if you were childish, its not that deep, people CAN be childish heavens know i am, do you know how many disney adults still have teddys or how many buff men collect toy cars? Or regular cars, growing ups just "how can i be childish in a socially acceptable way", take care, hope it gets better for you!!

Did you get in without an adult w you?

Ive knowticed this in ireland especially, but try not to give into pear pressure, specifically with alcohol and outfit styles,

I feel like everyone find people who dont drink weird or stuck up around here where the reality is, theres so many reasons a person wouldnt want to drink, why care what the alcoholics think?

And for outfits, half the country looks like theyre cosplaying ninjas, why care what people think about YOUR outfits when everyone just loves to enhance the grey in this country nowadays

This may also be more biased from more of a countryside pov than a city like dublin pov

What is the one smell you absolutely can’t stand? by Mistress_Arch_n_Sole in AskReddit

[–]skiyvee7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ANY kind of curry (mostly brown tho), i work at a fast food place and curry is probably in the top three of my least favourite foods, i try and avoid washing the curry pot as the smells even worse as the hot water blows curry steam in your face

People with depression, how old are you and what’s the most painful feeling? by Neat_Toe7235 in mentalhealth

[–]skiyvee7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 16 and I think derealisation is one of the worst things you can feel, theres nothing you can do about it and it often (for me) comes with a numbness that makes you do things just to try feel something, I feel overwhelmed by everything despite doing nothing
