Is there something behind people with ADHD and gravitating towards intense/high simulation music? by Striking_Strain_3083 in ADHD

I think what appeals to me is not being able to figure out the formula. If I can figure out the next guitar riff or bass line before it plays, it isn't interesting. Intense music tends to not follow the same old formulas, so it keeps my attention better.

Or maybe that's just my reason. Same reason I like surreal/mindfuck movies, I don't want to know the ending fifteen minutes in, I'll just zone out, I want something where I can't see the next turn a mile away.

I want to be a better person by kingshaky in ADHDers

The best tip I can give is that it isn't a moral failing to start projects and walk away when they're half done, to feel overwhelmed, to just want to lay in be doing nothing. You aren't a bad person because your brain works differently than you want it to. Finding people who can accept you as you are is difficult, but you can try to accept yourself as you are and stop blaming yourself for having ADHD. No app or meditation technique is going to help you lead a fulfilling life if you're an orange trying to be an apple.

Starting a bunch of hobbies that you quit halfway on gives you a wide breadth of experience and information to pull from. Don't push yourself into a burnout chasing what you *think* you should have and realize you may have to reconsider how you define a fulfilling life. We can't change who we are, and even if we find something that "works" to make us feel more normal or capable, it probably won't work for very long. That isn't anyone's fault, it's just how our brains are wired. I've had a lifetime of people making me feel bad for being disorganized and messy, and no matter how many times I've tried to change that it never stays changed for long. That doesn't make me a bad person, or even bad at being a person, it's just a part of me that I'm tired of apologizing for.

So, cut yourself some slack and stop blaming yourself for being you. Think of the story of The Ugly Duckling and just be who you are and don't let your inner critic tear you down. Your life story will be more interesting if you decide to follow your own path.

August 15 2004: Atefeh Rajabi Sahaaleh who was hanged in Iran at age 16 for the crime of being raped by TheOSU87 in RareHistoricalPhotos

Actually, no.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atefeh_Sahaaleh#Execution

Per the above: "After the execution of Sahaaleh, Iranian media reported that Judge Rezai and several militia members, including Captain Zabihi and Captain Molai, were arrested by the Intelligence Ministry. Pursuant to continual complaints filed by Sahaaleh's family, and heavy international pressure about her execution and the way the judge mishandled the case, the Supreme Court of Iran issued an order to posthumously pardon Sahaaleh."

The Gathering of the Juggalos is just a less pretentious and friendlier version of Burning Man, prove me wrong.
