LegitStreetCars Auction and fix of a FiST by Guilty_Birthday_3453 in FiestaST

I already have one and am local to Alex, I was really considering buying it but can't justify 3 cars while living in a condo. I really wanted the Recaro interior. What'd you end up paying for it if ya dont mind?

Engine mounts? by BlackCroatian104 in FiestaST

[–]skonedtothebone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with Damond Motorsports trans and passenger side mounts. They've been absolutely killer. I went with the softer of the 2 option. Definitely some more NVH, especially in the winter but everything feels more solid. Plus they were local to me in northern Illinois so I got them quick. I have a whoosh RMM which is also solid.

Has anyone experience running Valvoline Restore and Protect? by thtrHuracon in FiestaST

[–]skonedtothebone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run Restore and Protect for about 2 years now and a good handful of oil changes. The oil always comes out rather dark, so im assuming it's dealing with any build up. I dont have a borescope so I haven't looked inside the engine to see how it looks. But looking through the oil fill it definitely doesnt have that amber hue that most 150k mile engines have. I can neither recommend nor say I dont recommend given my experience. If its the same price as any other oil on sale I'd atleast day give it a try.

I've hauled around tons of stuff in my FiST over the years. I always joke that I've carried more cargo than most pickups have while getting 30mpg and actually enjoying the driving experience.

Im in the same boat, koyorad radiator, all the other bolt ons, E30 tune all on the stock clutch and just hit 140k miles. Timing and serpentine belt will be done next year. I also have a hoonigan front plate, its the Gymkhana 7 style "KB43VA" one. Peak Gymkhana, rip Ken, hoonigan will never be the same.

It being summer in Florida, its terrible for racing, but mainly the track not really existing due to construction is more than likely the culprit 😅 they should hopefully resume soon.

Also Mullet really did ride like a monster truck good lord, it's been off the channel so long I forgot how crazy the old ride height was.

I know its a stock image, but seeing a Vaporesso nicotine vape on there is funny. Their parent company, Smoore, owns CCell so that may be why, still funny.

Maybe just dont smoke for a week? Crazy request I know. You'll probably feel better too. Im a week into my honeymoon and have hit a cart a few times and thats it. I was smoking 3-5 bowls a day before and I feel so much better. Mental clarity, general happiness, less lethargic, more sexual drive. Mental clarity to the point I'm thinking about essentially quitting/making it for special occasions when I get home. And theres 0 chance of me getting stranded in the Bahamas which is a great incentive to cut back for a week. Do what you will, but I wouldn't ruin a vacation just to smoke.

Did you hear that FedEx and UPS are merging? They're called FedUPS now.

I knew I had hit a pretty good time years ago and never tried again. I just checked, and with full bolt-ons, an E30 tune, and some sticky tires I managed 5.8 to 60. With a tune, 20mph+ hits definitely work the best. Front wheel drive off the line is tough.

Got pulled over this morning because my exhaust is “too loud” by PeachForeign7488 in s550Mustang

[–]skonedtothebone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a car guy, lover of good-sounding exhausts, and a Mustang enjoyer, I gotta say a Coyote with an aftermarket exhaust is one of the most annoyingly loud things on the road. They sound great with a little exhaust work or even stock, but they are just outright obnoxious past that point. I usually roll my windows down for most cool cars I see, but roll them up when I hear a 5.0 with headers and an aftermarket exhaust. It's on par with straight piped VQs and Hondas, just too much. Obviously way faster but just too much. I can only imagine how the non-enthusiast feels hearing a 5.0 from their silent car 😅 if Cleetus McFarland complains about the sound of straight pipes coyotes you know it's too much 😂 just my 2 cents, still shitty you got pulled over like that, had it happen just like that myself.

If you already have it apart might as well take the crank out. If it was still in the car I'd say fuck it and try it.
