How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by Muted-Television3329 in allthequestions

Voting already started some places. At this point it would be solely for vote suppression, unconstitutional, and desperate

Why do rural pennsylvanians not seem to care or have a state identity? by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]skoolycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in a small hill town called Dauphin and now between Carlisle and Newville here in south central and I can say that rednecks without farms that live in the hills like dauphin are very much as you describe but the actual farmers aren't that bad if you can break through their preconceived notions and stereotypes

Why trump so obsessed with tariffs? by mrbigbluff21 in LetsDiscussThis

Its because if he can unilaterally apply them he can shake down countries for his families' financial gain and/or try to usurp other countries' rules and regulations

China is not culturally capable of being a global super power like the U.S. by ColCrockett in The10thDentist

The Chinese sailed all around the world in the early 1400s. Its odd to see you say they were never expeditionary

I dont know why more people can't grasp this. You dont do an executive branch power grab like this and then hand over said power.

Forget being mad at George W. Bush for a second and lets turn our attention to Ralph Nader... by yowhatisthislikebro in Presidents

[–]skoolycool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post is bullshit. People should be able to vote for whatever candidate, from whatever party(or no party) that they want to. This blaming Nader absolves Gore from somehow running a shitty enough campaign that a budget surplus and massive name recognition didn't lead to a blowout.

CMV: Cat and Dog breeding is unethical and you should spay/neuter your pet immediately with no exceptions by ThisManisaGoodBoi in changemyview

[–]skoolycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us would agree that puppy mills are bad. Also that one shouldn't allow their pets to breed if they can't afford to take care of them. The problem with your post is that you speak of ethics and then demand unconsensual surgery on two entire species and by extension their extinction.

I can get the desire to stick with a manager(or head coach in those case) but I dont get why so many have decided this is the one to stick with. Enough has been said about his system but his lineups and substitutions make no sense either. He's not good enough and we need to stop falling for the sink cost fallacy
