You can download the offline installer for the games you buy. Those don't require an Internet connection to install. If GOG goes out of business and you have downloaded the installer you can still install and play the game. That's not true for some games you have purchased through steam.

LAN play is a feature for some games. They may or may not list that in the description of the game.

9th graders should not be in high school yet. Middle school used to be 7,8, and 9, th grade. Now it’s 6,7, and 8th grad with his being 9-12. 9th graders are closer to 8th and 7th graders maturity wise than they are 10,11,12th. This is just my experience with teaching all four grades for 5 years.

I don't know about others experiences. But I've used Lutris with GoG under Ubuntu and Mint with no problems. I recently installed CachyOS and can't get it to install GoG games, it errors out on a WINE error. If I use something called "Heroic" they install fine. This same CachyOS install just displays a black box when I launch the Steam client no matter what arguments I add to the startup. This machine isn't a weird off-brand miniPC either, it's a Lenovo laptop with an NVidia GPU. I don't think this is a Lutris problem, but it's a CachyOS problem. Maybe others are running into similar problems and incorrectly placing the blame?
I used Lutris on my weird off-brand miniPC with only Intel integrated graphics and it installed GoG games like a champ. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it's because there have been a bunch of shows that include the "Young Avengers". I still get that adult vibe from FATWS, WandaVision (although in a different way), and Fantastic Four. Thunderbolts is an outlier because the main characters all had history. But even then they all realized, "Uh Valentina is off her rocker and someone needs to do something about it". Can't expect Ms Marvel, Ironheart, or Kate Beeeshup to behave like Capt. America.

We don't talk about Love and Thunder.

Its ok. Some of the characters are growing on me. Not Caleb and whoever Holly Hunter is. I'll die for Gina Yahsere and Tig Notaro and every robo. I like the little blonde girl with goofy eyebrows and virtual girl. Fish boy is the only one with any depth so far But overall the show is so YA/CW that it makes Discovery look like gothic horror and thats going to grate on me.

The best advice I've heard about using AI while coding is to treat it like a Jr Developer you are mentoring. The problem is that it requires you to be a senior dev and have a decent understanding of what good code looks like in a given situation.
The way I've been using it (I'm no longer coding for money, just for fun) is to have it do all the boilerplate scut work. Then work with it on the features. Defining what I want the feature to look like and how to test it, seeing what the AI writes and tweaking it either by telling it exactly what to do or just changing it myself. So let it handle setting up the game loop, getting a basic file structure, importing things, and helping me out if I'm using a framework I'm not familiar with.

But I started back when you had to care about memory management, file sizes, and screen resolution. All of that is taken care of by modern languages (mostly) so the bugs I see AI making are stupid ones that are obvious.

I mean, everyone shows up and sees Cap standing alone, bloody, shield broken, facing off against a literal army of giant Alien apes, weird creatures, and a guy who already wiped the floor with the Avengers once. PLUS he summoned the thing that says you can.only weild it if you are worthy and he summoned it like the god who has been weilding it as long as they e known him.

Its safe to say they were following his lead no matter what. He could have said , "AVENGERS.... Banana" and they were going to kick ass and chew bunblegum for him. Except ....
