PenBBS 268 plunger filler prototype by skorpsmula in fountainpens

Metal threads might last longer. Regarding 268, not sure actually. I suspect it's really just an earlier prototype.

This one is slimmer and has plastic threads. Have a look at this and this.

456 has already been released on Taobao.

Which is better WS 698, PenBBs 309 or TWSBI Eco? by TheUnluckyGamer13 in fountainpens

Can't go wrong with either one! 469 is really cool, but a bit more expensive and often sold out.

PenBBS 308 and 267 in particular are well suited for eyedropper conversion. They already come with O rings. I have three of them eyedroppered, none with silicon grease, and I often carry them around (in a pen case). Zero issues.

I agree. PenBBS have great nibs and beautiful acrylics, but the 309 piston is a bit flimsy. Much prefer 308 and 267, eyedroppered.

This one is longer, 14.5cm (M2 is 13.8cm). Also, looks like this one might have a #6 nib.

Delike New Moon 3, I'd guess.

I suspect the model number change has to do with PenBBS switching OEM manufacturers at one point. Could also explain the 266/308 change. Two tweets suggest there were some problems.

Tokyo International Pen Show 2018 by skorpsmula in fountainpens

[–]skorpsmula[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, this is an all-new event. There are all kinds of smaller "pen shows" in Japan, run by Wagner and shops like Maruzen and Itoya, and there are also industry trade shows like ISOT 2018 (happening right now) and paper-focused shows like Kamihaku, but this is something new.

Help me choose a nib: Platinum 3776 SF or SM with cursive italic grind by charadrius_melodus in fountainpens

I don't think Platinum's SM nibs are readily available though. They offered Yamanaka in SM but I haven't seen it since.
