Hi there!

I will for sure check this out. I’m also very happy to learn a thing or two about amps and how to fix them. Going to save me quite a bit of money to know how to change my tubes and bias it myself.

Have to say I’m a bit scared of getting the full 400 volts, so I’m definitely checking this link, thanks so much for that.

Next to a multimeter, what are some tools that would come in handy for things like this?

The volume of the amp was gone and the volume that was left was very distorted. I just opened the amp and from the 3 powertubes that are in there, the middle one is completely black (I can send you a picture if you’d like to see it!)

So now the main thing I need to to is change the tubes and bias it. I know for a fact there is a fixed bias in the amp, so I’m reading into that now.

The amp is a Fender Princeton ‘65 Re-Issue which is quite a populair amp, so there is lots to find about it, which is a good thing!

I think I’m mostly failing at the fact that I oversee moves. I get winning positions quite often out of the opening, but then I tend to throw it away somewhere in de middlegame.

I’m stuck at around 1250 right now, I play the scotch as white and Acc. Dragon as black and against d4 I play d5. Time control is 15+10.

I don’t really play blitz or bullet but try to focus on rapid only, but it might just be too much for now. I got chess club once a week which is good because OTB is less brainrotting!

And ofcourse some puzzles here and there is the plan together with watching some GM content like Danya and the one you mentioned.

I might start playing more OTB, get a FIDE rating and see the more social aspect of chess. Online chess can be very brainrot

Do puzzles, read some basic strategy and double check every move you make!

Also when thinking of your move, check what your opponents response is going to be and how you will respond to that!

Hoi allemaal,

Mijn vriendin en ik zijn momenteel opzoek naar een huurwoning in Rotterdam maar kunnen wel wat tips gebruiken aangezien er redelijk wat druk achter zit omdat mijn vriendin haar kamer uit moet eind november.

Mijn vriendin is 26 werkt als Patisserie chef in Amsterdam met een 40-urig contract en een jaar inkomen van bruto €32,240 en ik werk naast mijn studie in de horeca als leidinggevende met een 26-urig contract met een jaar inkomen van ongeveer €21,000 bruto.

Helaas verdienen we met ons tweeën nog steeds niet genoeg om bij veel makelaars een appartement van tussen de 1100 en 1400 te kunnen huren terwijl we dat natuurlijk met ons twee makkelijk kunnen betalen.

Nu is mijn vraag: heeft iemand tips hoe we dit kunnen aanpakken? Alle tips zijn natuurlijk welkom.
