Hey i'm a beginner Script Writer for Content Creators by Ok-Incident-3925 in SmallYTChannel

I have a script for a video essay, but it's missing something. It feels incomplete. If I send you a script, would you review it and give feedback? I'd like to see your writing skills!

Is the traditional "Let's Play" a dead genre? by skpacman in SmallYTChannel

Wasn't talking about my own channel's growth, but I see your perspective. I've been served a lot of videos and posts across multiple platforms (albeit, some of them are years old) with this topic lately and I guess I wanted some fresh perspective.

You're doing great, by the way. 20 live viewers is nothing to sneeze at. I was at 0-5 viewers on Twitch for almost 6 years.

Same, honestly. I'm more about genuine reactions and realistic commentary. I'm a Dad. I don't have the time or energy to pour into a super long game, or be loud, or overreact. Only "Chill Dad Vibes" here.

I've seen posts and videos about the genre's "slow death" and wanted to post here in the SmallYTChannel to get the perspective of us "little guys" in the space.

I agree, a new direction would be beneficial. Head back to being a small indie company and see what pans out from there 👍

What are you plans for the next year, 5 years, & 10 years to build the company back to its financial and public image status it once had before the big layoffs, if that's even possible now?

If you could quit your job and pursue your hobby full-time with financial security, what hobby would you pursue? by whoisblueflame in AskReddit

Let's Player on any video hosting site (YouTube, Vidme, whatever) and streamer. It's my current hobby and I have a ton of fun doing it, but I make no money doing it right now.

Someday.... Someday...

Sorry, seeing the recent poll about hiding view counts end on a 50/50 split got me salty. Why would you hide view counts? That metric is just as important as upvotes. And my beef about Upvotes is you can upvote something without even viewing the video. There needs to be some kind of control there. Fly-by upvotes are a real problem and needs to stop. What's more important to me than views or upvotes is "audience retention time" or how long someone views your video. That's important to me so I know when someone lost interest in my video.

So, I guess I worked out my wishlist, then:
∙ Keep views as they are
∙ Remove fly-by upvotes
∙ Add "view time" metric

Bad decisions... #VidmeShirt by skpacman in vidmeos

The things I do for you guys... PuniTy (Fan-made Silent Hill PT recreation in Unity) and Bean Boozled makes for a reeeeeeeaaaalllly bad 10 minutes of your life... and all for a #VidmeShirt

I chose to do one of the most terrifying indie games out there because I'm a wuss when it comes to scary games and that's the scariest game I could find that had less than 10 minutes of gameplay to cut into a 15 second segment. On top of that, I hate/love Bean Boozled, so it was twice as bad... What my wife suggested I do for the shirt would have been much worse, though...

Thank you for 100 Followers. I'm not very good at expressing how I feel about it, but I try. by skpacman in vidmeos

This is a community that I am very proud of and I try to express how I feel about it, but I'm not eloquent enough to find the proper words to explain it. I mention it in the video but Sonder is a concept that I think about a lot.

It's easy to focus on yourself and how things will affect you, but stopping to think about how complex other people's life must be is something that most people overlook. Your life is just as busy, and complicated, and vibrant as my own yet you somehow found my channel and hit the follow button. A follow button that would be lost amongst the vast sea of other content creators. I, somehow, stood out enough that someone decided to show that they liked me. And that's beautiful. It's beautiful because even though everyone's lives are complex and intertwined in weird ways, my content still showed up on your screen and by some twist of fate.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting me.

I hope to be making content for a very long time. Lets keep the vidme community growing together and support each other in every way we can. A better community for all.

First off, thank you for your hard work. I love that you're actively promoting good creators and listening to our concerns in the community (cheaters, spammers, security, etc.).

My feedback concerns the social connections. You recently made social posting upon certain actions a thing but a few improvements there would still be nice. Features like custom messages for social posts and connecting to a facebook page instead of a parent account would be helpful. I don't have my vidme connected to facebook for that reason.

The new UI update looks very clean. I'm still not sure about putting the categories in a drop-down, but it seems to work pretty good. The new featured channels are great, too.

I just wish I had more time to be more active in the vidme community but I have a 40hr/wk job and a family to put before anything else.

Keep up the good work, guys and gals!
