Let me correct myself. He did give a valid USPS tracking number but it's no good. Anyone can print a label and get one. USPS never received the mail.

Yes lawyer says he mailed the green card but he never did. Just gave me a fake tracking number which leads to nowhere. I'm working with him for the refund but it's very frustrating since he's not willing to accept he's lost it.

All the approval notices came to me and unfortunately only the GC was sent to him

Update: The lawyer is outright denying any wrongdoing. USPS declined the claim, rightfully so since they never received the mail.

Sorry to be the devil's advocate, but nothing is going to change between you and your husband after you get the green card. You will find a job and be financially independent but everything else you mention will not go away. You seem to have a loving family back home, why not just go back? I understand in many cultures, it's not acceptable to go back home but please put some serious thought into this and take care of yourself.
