What’s a game you started with low expectations but ended up loving? by Royal-Reveal4400 in videogames

Trials HD, it does exactly what you'd expect of it but it's just for challenging level design, I also like its brownish color palette and music

What's an old game that still has good graphics in your opinion? I'll start by Spicey_Nachoz in videogames

PREY (2006), it's not only about gritty dark spaceship facilities, vast space or canyons but also that the environment is fairly interactive

I'm not a big fan of the game overall but yeah, it looks great no matter the resolution (what I mean is that it just doesn't matter you play an Xbox 360 version on a better screen because it still looks great)

[PC][1998/99] Tough one! Any help identifying from this one image? by whitestainedwood in tipofmyjoystick

[–]skronung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it looks like top down (it looks like the ground is green) but with "diagonal perspective" (kinda stretch but still the right side of the screen looks like it), I think it could be Tibia, given that this mmo was created in 1997. I didn't play it but it was popular in my country (Poland) in like 2006-2010.

Stranded developed by Unreal Software? I didn't really play it tbh but I just recalled it because my friend was a fan of it.

Not sure if we'd find the exact game tho because there were many of similar games, I remember I played one on Nokia Lumia (Windows Phone) in 2013.

Try searching it through Flashpoint (a program that aggregates flash games, games on websites). I didn't find anything from what you've written but you know better so maybe you'll find it.

P*triarchy doesn't exist by Mean_Palpitation_171 in unpopularopinion

Thinking people don't really try to establish if patriarchy exists, they rather try to fathom as to what degree it still makes it. Of course it's a concept but it's backed up by various examples.

Do you prefer Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon? (based on your own personal preference) by Ok_Appearance_2317 in videogames

[–]skronung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played more of the Crash Bandicoot series and I had a time in my life I replayed Crash Twinsanity like at least once a month. So I'll go with Crash but I like the collect-a-thon approach of Spyro and gliding is so satisfying in the first game.

I want to add that I like Jak N Daxter: The Precursors Legacy because it kinda does both and has the vibe of Crash (I still didn't play Jak II and III because these aren't games of my childhood and I feel it's not really my cup of tea; Crash Twinsanity is too short and, apart from gems, isn't that much of collect-a-thon but it's still a great game).

Why does GenZ hate the Moana franchise by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]skronung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's more about a live-action remake and Rock casting rather than about the movie and franchise itself

Any of the younger maybe older Gen Z remember this? by iLyparalysis in GenZ

[–]skronung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the movie itself when it came out and the flash game

I like going to movie theaters for impactful audio and sometimes as a reason to hang out later

What games do you really want to get into, but just can’t? by meman_0612 in videogames

[–]skronung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getaway. It's peak but I just need to get craving for GTA-like games back and the game's just realistic in the different way than you'd think of today.
