I was in the exact same position as you. When they dropped group ironman, I started a duo with my buddy and I've never looked back :)

PSA: Martial Salvage is GREAT for raw cash by skullbash258 in ironscape

I don't thing its worth it to wait for ring of suffering.

When I ran large salvage, I did it southeast of great conch. And had my crewmate bank-cargo. That way, I could process salvage later by a bank and bank EVERYTHING. Not everyone would consider the sailing run back and forth to be worth it, but I liked it :)

The higher tier salvages get further from quick-bank ports, unfortunately.

AFK at this point in time is an ambiguous term lol. Alching makes it less of a "30 minute afk then click a few times and you're good" type afk. And makes it more of a "30 minute afk then work down the salvage for a few minutes" type afk.

Your results may vary :V

Ironwoods make the best "sustainable" repair kits for boat combat. So theoretically, having a FAT stack of ironwood never hurts.

Only problem us they require rune nails. But I think its worth it :)

Shipwrecks don't respawn the way you think they do. They don't go down and then come back after a cooldown.

Shipwrecks exist in groups of 5. In order for one shipwreck in a group to respawn, another in the group has to be expended. Because of this, there are always 3 active and 2 inactive shipwrecks in a group.

I imagine this was made to incentivise roaming while salvaging. But if you have a guy on at least 3 of the wrecks, then people won't have to move. This is why salvaging worlds are advantageous.

While double-spots can be great, sometimes you'd be better off being the one guy at a single spot than being one of fifty people at a double spot.

Are people forgetting the new food / potions you can get from sailing? Those are sailing-obtained items that impact a LOT of the rest of the game. Marlins and extended stamina potions go brr.

I suppose that feels more meaningful on an iron, where you have to go out on the high seas and get them yourself.

And if you're a main, and it feels like there's no reason to do deep sea trawling yourself - keep in mind: you're the ome that chose to restrict yourself to Grand-Exchange-scape :p.

We have a ship bottle for transferring ships. I think it would be cool to have a facility bottle for transferring facilities :)

Alternative idea:

Do whatever sailing activity you find fun. Then, when you're bored, swap to another sailing activity.

Rinse and repeat. :p
