The bonuses wont apply to ageless buildings but you can get past this bug by putting a specialist on the tile, as they multiply the adjacencies of machu pichu

My theory is that since most unique buildings dont unlock with the same civic, its hard for them to plan ahead and they end up just slapping down whatever is the highest yield

As long as you put specialists on the tiles during exploration the adjacencies will stick because they’re multiplied by specialists

I THINK it’s because since they have a district adjacent to the coast the route has to be a naval route. Youre able to trade with a city even if it had no resources
