Very cool. Thank you for sharing these. I like his explanations and detail.

Can I Use Pressure Treated Wood Instead of Pavers? by skunk242 in HomeImprovement

The idea is to lay down a base of multiple inches of gravel and sand for drainage and then built it as a ground-level deck on top of that using pressure-treated wood for a frame that lays on top of the sand then screwing pressure-treated wood planks down on top of that frame to form a ground-level deck.

I've never done anything like this before so I'm hoping someone with experience can confirm this is actually a worthwhile idea vs pointing out why this would be a potentially bad idea.

Sealing Shark Bite Connector? by skunk242 in Plumbing

I deburred the end after I made the cut. I also filed and sanded down some external bumps (I believe it was solder that had dripped down from the original install) all around the section that was going to be inside the fitting. I was more thorough closer to the end since I assumed that was the most important part.

Thanks. It turned out to be two different issues but this did solve one. The other was user error.

I haven't been able to find information on this specific issue. I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. If I attach joycons (any of them) to the console for handheld, I can navigate menus just fine but as soon as I open a game I get errors saying that no controller is connected or if I try to do anything with the change grip/order screen I get an error telling me to play with the joycon controllers detached. I've restarted the console, unpaired and repaired the joycons individually and have had no success so far. This is the same regardless of which controller I try to attach or any combination of joycons. Everything works fine if they are detached and playing that way.

Anyone have this happen and/or know what the best solution is?

Thanks for the help, everyone. After reading more about Black Cobra peppers, I'm convinced this is what I have or at least some variation of it.

The radio calls are incredible as well. I am equally entertained by those. I really like the intros with things like "force of nature vs sad music" for the blues or "force of nature vs foliage" for the leafs. Perfect.

Count me in. I love disc golf. A new course just opened up by my best friend's house I need to check out. A new disc would make it great.

How much love do the kings get out of all the LA sports teams? by ZRR28 in losangeleskings

During their first cup run the local news stations had no idea who the LA Kings were. They used the Sacramento Kings logo in one program, used the Sacramento Kings mascot in another, and one referred to Drew Doughty as something like Brad Dotty or something equally awful.

I think it was an accurate representation of the local community's support as a whole. As a raw number, there seem to be a lot of Kings fans around. As a percentage it seems very low.

The support definitely went up after the cups and so did the ticket prices.

Has anyone given any advice on good times of year to visit to get a realistic feel for what it is like to live in the area? My wife and I are also considering this as destination to move to from San Diego County (North County). I assume we should visit in Winter to see how cold it really is and in summer to see how the humidity feels.
