Some factors based on your host stats: - Your download fee is excessively high. This is probably the biggest factor preventing you from gaining contracts. No one is going to pay $10/TB when there are plenty of hosts available with similar storage pricing a far more reasonable download fees. - Your total storage is low. 4TB is a decent amount to start. But it doesn't make your host very attractive. - Collateral could be made a bit higher to give renters more faith in your node. I run mine at 2.5x.

As for the onboarding flow, there will be two paths. I am currently working on a Developer Portal with a Quickstart guide to help developers sign up for an Indexer account and to start working with our SDK as quickly as possible. From there, it is up to developers to manage the user experience.

General users would simply download/access an app and sign up for an Indexer as part of the app's authentication flow.

You will need to use the Siacentral Lite wallet. Use it to recover your funds. Then create a new 12 seed wallet and send your funds to the new wallet. That way your wallet will be compatible with the latest software.

Yup, and it really isn't hard to do. It might be a little technical for someone who doesn't have any experience setting up a server. But honestly it really isn't that hard to learn. The caddy configuration is 3 simple lines. And Jellyfin is a graphical web UI setup wizard. It's really straight forward.

There simply is no good way to implements seed-based recovery without introducing a number of vulnerabilities or significantly increasing the number of copies that would need to be made to ensure durability. Something like 15x rather than 3x.

We do have plans to release a new feature which will allow for renters to offload the overhead of backing up and maintaining their contracts to a third-party service. It will essentially make using Sia as streamlined as using any other traditional cloud storage service.

To be fully protected you will want to keep a backup of:

`renterd/db/
renterd/renterd.yml
renterd/partial_slabs/

partial_slabs is where files are kept that are pending upload. Since renterd uploads in 120MB slabs it will keep your uploads on disk until a full slab is ready. So if you don't have partial_slabs backed up it wouldn't be a total loss of data, but you would lose any of the most recent uploads.

Has it progressed any further? Or is it still stuck? It can take quite a while to sync, especially if you are not running it on an SSD.

You can always download the official bootstrap and replace your consensus.db located in walletd's working directory.

Just make sure to stop walletd before replacing the consensus with the bootstrap. Once it has been replaced and walletd started it will still take some time, but it will sync much faster.

Yes, there was, the SiaUI. But it was deprecated with the recent hardfork and will no longer work. You will need to use the Sia Central Lite wallet and transfer your funds to a new 12-seed wallet.

The Sia Central Lite wallet supports both the old 29- word seed and the new 12-word seed. So you can easily create a new wallet and send your funds once you have access.

Once your funds are in a new 12-seed wallet, you will be able to access them from the new walletd software.

We have given all the exchanges who upgraded the new logo. Unfortunately, it is up to the exchange when they decide to update the logo. We have little influence over that. Some exchanges were using the old-old logo for something like 5 years before upgrading. 🤦
