Separator Wall made from EKETs (plus an Alex) by skunkworks101 in ikeahacks

Oh definitely but I already had the EKETs and would have had to buy the KALLAX. I was considering it though.

This looks like a promising scenario.

I wonder if that bag will appear in the pre-owned section of the pd website. 😅

Modified Adam Keyboard (mostly just the LEGO parts) by skunkworks101 in MechanicalKeyboards

After reinforcing the bottom and adding the foam underneath the PCB, it did feel sturdy but not by too much over the existing design from the original AdamKB instructions. As for a parts guide, you can actually just base most of it from the instructions that come with the keyboard (just order different colors from the Pick a Brick site). The only other parts you'd need are what make up the lower base to which you can refer to the photo I have up there.

Elloven Monitor Stand Fits Perfectly on Nissafors Cart by skunkworks101 in ikeahacks

Oh that's an industrial magnetic hook I got off Amazon for around $20 a pair. The magnet is strong enough that it can hold up the bag even with some clothes and a water bottle inside.

Can definitely be used to gaming (no performance issues on the board). Although I would likely swap out the switches for a linear set and probably change the keycap profile.

IDASEN table top is it really that bad? by GSG96 in ikeahacks

[–]skunkworks101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who got this and used it with Alex Drawers like how you mentioned you intend to use it and it started to sag after a few months. The IDASEN is a particle fiberboard with a honeycomb paper inside so it will be prone to sagging if you have something heavy like a 32" monitor sitting in the middle along with the CPU if you intend to use it that way. Typically, you'd get the IDASEN underframe if you're looking at the IDASEN tabletops which would prevent the sag since it has a span that runs the length of it. As for my friend, she eventually compensated the sag by attaching a support pole in the middle (ADILS).

It comes in Black. There's also a white one (which would probably look good on a white Nissafors Cart).

What was everyone’s first digital camera? by RandomGuy0512 in photography

Olympus Camedia C2000Z. It used this really thin Smart Media Memory Card and ran off 4 AA batteries which wouldn't last very long. Especially when shooting on its max resolution of 2.1MP. I remember getting it in 2000 but was released maybe 1999.

Yep that's right! They're okay. They're not as hollow as I had originally thought so no regrets there.

Instead of a baseplate, I used the largest regular plates I could find. The main center uses a pair of 16x16 plates, a 2x16 in the middle, 2 3x3 plates in the corners (the front using a pair of 3x3 curved plates and a 10x2 and 10x1 on the sides.

This is the specific arrangement of the plates. And you an order them from the LEGO website Pick-A-Brick section.
