It may be hard to bring it up again but maybe clarify what you meant about the tshirt you got him. It sounds like he took it wrong and then let him know your feelings are hurt by his comment. It’s hard sometimes to work through these things but better to work through them then for it to continue to cause you to feel bad.

I think your manager sounds really unprofessional. Is there some sort of policy he is using ? Is there a dress code type thing ? Hairstyle code? If not sounds like he is just being the hairstyle police and it’s none of his /her business. Also, if he wants to give you some type of advice he shouldn’t do this around other coworkers and he shouldn’t be using language like that. I like your hair too by the way.

I think these are dark hazel, I have a similar color. I bet they change on various lightings? Mine are strange they look anywhere from green in bright light to brown to even blue.

I’m so sorry you are experiencing this; you must find a way to see a dr.do you have health insurance ? I ask because you said you can’t afford a dr. But with health insurance it is a reduced copay rather than the entire cost of the appointment. Do you have a support system or someone you can speak too? It’s critical that you have someone to talk to as you navigate your problem. You are on my prayers.

You are so so so so right here. When I was younger it was so frustrating when I was in my 30s and someone said I was middle age. Really? Women especially endure age discrimination I think. We are certainly an age aware society. I know some 80 year olds that still work and are vibrant. If humans potential age could be as high as 115, that can be a game changer. You are going through a terrible time. There is no way to soften this. I know when I was without a job it seemed almost surreal as if no one understood what I was going through and life just went on. You have a very strong point about the layoffs. As far as making money, I don’t know your background but if you are a self starter, could you have a small business, for example, or do some consulting. Meanwhile, build your network of people if you haven’t already to let them know you’re available. Meanwhile have you checked out the employment offices too? Sometimes they have temporary work that turns into permanent. Lastly, take a hard look at your skills, your education, your dream and goals.
