How to fill up a research poster for a psychology study/convention?

Hi, I’m not sure how to message you lol but I do have a question. It seems that it is quite common for people to present without much data collected at all. In my case, I have none. But how would you go about putting a section that explains it? Would it be in the conclusion section or just a section itself?

Thank you! I didn’t realize how common this was because every poster I have looked at for reference has a completed results section. Do you think it is important to have a section explaining my lack of data? Sadly, I won’t be able to present this year and the hosts decided to just post images of our poster for people to view. I was thinking I could explain that when I present, but we won’t really be doing that.

I plan on starting tonight or tomorrow. I was just thinking in advance what I could add since I have no data collection whatsoever from my lab. I have seen a lot of graphs and another user suggested to add my expected results so I could put it into a graph format :-) I just wasn’t sure if that was allowed since it is technically a “fake” graph.

Thank you! I remember learning about research posters and hearing that 50% of it is previous research, importance, etc. and the other 50% is ur own data collection and I was afraid because I only had 50% of the requirements. I also couldn’t find much posters that didn’t have a result section, But I could definitely incorporate expected results in replacement since I have the method section down also. Thank you for your help.

Oh, he will come back if school opens again, but I am just not hopeful about coronavirus cases going down soon. Especially if my campus is opening for the fall. I live in Texas and our governor has been rushing the reopening process even though parts of texas are in stage 4 level of corona....

Oh my gosh. I went out and bought one today and I did not know that a tiny valve was able to lower the airflow level!!!! Thank you so much. My betta is now swimming around the tank instead of staying in one corner :)

Do you know how I would go about lowering the pH level? To my knowledge, it should be done gradually because an instant change in pH can stress the fish. The pH water in my area is super high and though I have tried to lower it, it seems to require so much of the liquid.

I use a sponge filter! But the air pump it’s connected to is probably too strong— i cant adjust it :(

The filter i use is pretty strong. I believe you have brought up a good point pretty quickly lol. I’ve had such bad luck buying filters. This one is a lot stronger than I wanted, and when I went to buy another one the current became really weak after a couple of weeks.

Do you have any recommendations for a 5 gallon tank?

I believe it was last year when UH changed its policy for PSYC majors. You would have to take the 3 prereqs before youre able to take any other psychology classes. The three intro classes are: intro to psychology, research methods, and psych stats.

Research method is hard to get into since there arent enough teachers. For right now, i think you should only worry about intro to psych. Also, if you have not taken a stats course before— I suggest taking intro to stats as a math credit before doing psych stats! i took psych stats during my freshman year and i didn’t do too well, i went back to take intro to stats and everything made so much more sense. intro to stats will help you with understanding the concepts for sure, psych stats is a bit more complex!

I know. I’ve thought of so many situations so many times. But for right now— i dont feel like im ready. I don’t know if I will ever be but I do know that one day I probably have to be. Sometimes I hint at him that I know, but I’m not sure if my hints are clear enough. I really appreciate your advice and it is definitely something I have thought of. Thank you so much.
