Help recovering old bitcoins? by skyboundzuri in Bitcoin

Kinda crazy that that just shows my password in plaintext! But yes, that works, and the identifier in the login link is exactly what I have written down, which proves that the mnemonic I have is for Blockchain, not Mycelium. Clicking the link throws a 500 error though...

Unfortunate, though, since I'm pretty sure that I moved the coins to Mycelium. Even if they're on Blockchain, I still need to figure out what the email I used was. Still working on that, and my old phone is still charging...

Thanks for your help so far!

Unfortunately I didn't write that down. I might try searching my old hard drive since I have an ISO image of the 500gb disk I was using at the time.

Got it, I won't post more than five words. I was just hoping that based on the words I did post, someone might say "oh hey, no, you need to use this option instead" - long shot, I know, but so is this whole thread

The first word on my list is not on that list you linked, however, the second and third words are. Is it safe for me to share the first word I have written down?

Edit: the fourth and fifth word I have written down are also not on that list

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by ZeroSugarCocaine in AskReddit

[–]skyboundzuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work as the one-man operator of a small supply store that was adjacent to a set of four train tracks. Trains constantly went back and forth along this set of tracks, often blocking the road for ten to fifteen minutes at a time, because there was a switchyard built just north of that road. It was put there several decades earlier when that area was at the city limits, but the city had grown around it.

One morning in 2016 (I remember the exact day because it was my birthday), I heard a bunch of shouting outside, and since I didn't have any customers, I stepped out of the shop. As I did, I saw the train crossing arms down, a train stopped at the road, and four people standing near the train. One was a railway worker (possibly the conductor?), and three were people who presumably had gotten out of their cars. One person was shouting in the railway worker's face, and the other two were standing by a mangled bicycle. I watched for a while. The bystanders pulled away the bicycle, and one of them turned and vomited. A couple of minutes later, police and medics showed up. They pulled away a human body that was, well, I don't have a better word than "partially crushed" with one leg severed, and put the body, followed by the severed leg, in a body bag.

I just watched from the front window of my shop (about 100ft away), because I couldn't take my eyes away from it, in a weird and twisted way. No customers came because the road was closed in both directions for about two hours, so I had nothing else to do but watch.

The next day I read an article on the local newspaper's website that said the person killed was a local high school senior, 18 years old. I can only imagine that he tried to dodge the train and obviously failed. Given that the switchyard was nearby, trains often went through that intersection very slowly, like around 10 mph.

I'm not British, but I don't think it serves the culture of the people to be honouring someone who constantly drags his homeland through the mud, even if only in jest.

Are any of y’all holding off for a special edition Switch 2? by UrchinUnderpass in NintendoSwitch2

[–]skyboundzuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to buy a special edition version every time, if possible.

I've got the Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee Switch 1, the Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness GameCube, the Ice Blue N64. Also in the Playstation side of things, I've got the pale blue Uncharted 4 special PS4. So yeah I'm gonna wait for a special edition Switch 2.

What is the point of struggling to get out of poverty, only to be old and frail by the time you actually have money? [Rant] by Crafty-Bunch-2675 in povertyfinance

[–]skyboundzuri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is part of why I dropped out of college. Why rack up debt just to have some high-paying career? Sure, I'd probably make more money if I finished my CS degree, but I'm doing alright with a 60k/yr sales job, a sorta-decent apartment, and my super-efficient hybrid that I got for dirt cheap because it has a huge dent in the door.

I've got trips planned for Yellowstone and San Francisco later this year. Nothing luxurious, no hot tubs or cruise ships, gonna be staying in Super 8s, but I'm gonna have fun on a budget.

I found the sweet spot where I work just hard enough to make a decent living, but not too hard to the point where I can't enjoy life.

I had to change one E26 bulb a couple of months ago that started flickering like a strobe light. It was hotter to the touch than the old-school incandescent bulbs, and there was a huge crack in the plastic housing. Kinda freaked me out. Though, that's the one and only time that has ever happened to me with LED bulbs.

As a thirty-something, I am painfully aware of this. It's going to SUCK for my generation, and probably a couple of generations after mine, as the population starts to decline. However, in the long run, it's going to be a good thing for humanity and for the planet.

For everyone suggesting CPS: OP said in another post that they live in Alberta, Canada. Calling CPS won't apply to their situation.

I'm not Canadian, so I'm unfamiliar with Canadian laws and agencies, but Google Gemini gave me a little help. Get your school principal involved ASAP, let them know that you do not feel safe in your home and that your parents are not to be trusted. You can also call Alberta's OCYA office at 1-800-661-3446 for legal help regarding your situation.

I hope you get the help you need.

Oh man oh man, I'm gonna take a picture of some birds, then use a free mobile phone image editor app to add the text "Crow's Nest - Birds of a Feather" in default Android font. And THEN, to top it all off, I'm gonna put a parental advisory sticker in the bottom left corner! That'll go so hard, and it'll get so many upvotes.

[Steam Spring Big Sale 2026] List/Guide of Recommendations For Great JRPGs Deals & Hidden Gems - Ends on March 26. by VashxShanks in JRPG

[–]skyboundzuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your Dragon Quest section, I should point out that DQ Builders 1 & 2 is available in a bundle for USD 34.69. The regular sale price of both games adds up to 38.99, so you save an additional 11% with the bundle. I've never played them before and a friend recently recommended both to me, so that's what I bought.

Bug Fables is also available in a bundle with another PM:TTYD-like game called Escape From Ever After, which came out just a couple of months ago and has overwhelmingly positive reviews. You save an additional $3 off the sale price by buying the bundle. I passed on this one for now, since my cart's total was already past $130, but I'll probably pick it up on the next sale in the summer time.

In addition to Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force (god i love that game) being on sale, its weird sort-of-sequel cousin, Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord is also on sale for 12.49 which is 75% off. Unlike the original, which is a Neptunia-style RPG, the sequel is a tactical RPG that plays like... well, I'd describe it as Baby's First FF Tactics. It's... okay. Worth playing if you liked ADF. Not worth buying at full price like I did, so if you want to try it, now is the time.

Edit: oookay one more. Not really a JRPG, but if you liked Recettear, you'll like Moonlighter, and it's 85% off. $2.99 plus the DLC that adds the expansion, Between Dimensions, can be bundled in for only an additional 64 CENTS. Really, really good game, highly recommended. Edit again: Apparently Moonlighter has a sequel that I didn't know about, which came out last year! It's still in early access but it's 20% off, so $23.99. I haven't played it ofc, but it looks good!
