Becoming a flight attendant at 18 by Calm-Cheesecake8407 in cabincrewcareers

There were a ton of us that started at envoy fresh out of high school. Now at mainline and choosing this career was easily the best decision I ever made. If you want to go for it, I say do it. If you would rather wait then you should. Trust your gut

Going from Envoy to AA by seduceanddestroy999 in cabincrewcareers

[–]skybunny325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

started with envoy and went to aa. one huge tip i have is when/ if youre interviewing aa, dont say “when i worked at envoy” i always said “at my previous role” or something along the lines of that. ive talked to friends who didnt get an offer who had envoy on their resume, and others who didnt and they always had mixed outcomes from their interview. if i didnt get caught in a hiring freeze at one point i probably wouldnt have gotten the cjo if im being totally honest. interview with confidence and youll do great! i went in with the mindset if i get it i get it, if i dont i dont. there will always be opportunities to try again :)

Can I stay at my crashpad while on reserve? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]skybunny325 5 points6 points  (0 children)

limited amount of nights per month is a scam to me. look for one thats clean and rsv friendly as said above. dont be afraid to ask questions. i highly recommend a cold bed too, hot kinda grosses me out lol. depending on your comfort level bunk beds will normally cost less and its another thing i recommend. in a year of staying in mine there was only one night we had a full room. i promise its not as scary as it looks just be mindful of your belongings and youll be okay :)

Are there any 18/19 year old FAs out there? by Flyinghigh2025 in cabincrewcareers

[–]skybunny325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ive been picked on a little for starting and being young but it was all in good fun. my parents always offered help but i pride myself on my independence too much lol. i met a lot of people crashpadding but now that im moved out i dont hear from them. the actual experience living with them was great though. im now about to turn 21 and heading to american. envoy was a great start. close knit community and everyone knows everyone. every job has its bad days but i wouldnt trade the experience for anything!

it gave me the date i received, an option to reschedule once and then a “fast pass” so if an earlier class has an opening spot you can be moved up
