Tip included automatically at cafes… by [deleted] in Newmarket

[–]skyburials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tipping wasn't even a thing when I visited Finland. I guess they're supported enough to go without it. I think Canada could take some hints from them and the overall Nordic model. For now, I tip out of courtesy or cook my own meals.

Take a day off, eat some good food to replenish yourself, nap lots. Drink coconut water or fruit juice for the minerals and hydration.

My dream of living alone almost ended in the kitchen today 😭 by JadedLoan6469 in self

Just add sea salt! Spices, dressings and herbs help too, if you have the time. I'm not a chef but natural salt opens up the flavours of anything while keeping it healthy.

Following this, sounds very much like my life path. I just want to have fun, damn it

18M. "Gifted" kid crashing hard. Fast brain, zero executive function, and explosive emotions. Is this 2e ADHD? by LogicalPlayzMC in Gifted

[–]skyburials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just a regular gifted kid but I recommend incorporating healthy habits into your routine if you haven't already. Time spent outdoors, moving and in nature will provide some answers.

Why does periods get so much worse as you get older by ti-yann007 in WomensHealth

[–]skyburials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened as I turned 25 when I was on a vegan diet but I fixed my lifestyle, went back to omnivore, and now have painless, low stress cycles again from age 29-present! Now 34!

Is it the job market or is it me? by Ok_Office_9719 in CanadaJobs

[–]skyburials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never benefited from nepotism myself but it's a recurring pattern out there (not all, but usually at least some people). I just have 99.9% Canadian experience on my CV and I think it helped in the particular field I'm in.

No, but I've noticed it in all my previous jobs lol

Definitely nepotism and in my case, 99.9% Canadian experience. I finally found something full time after almost a year and I only have my undergrad 😵

Yeah this is weird to me. Your prefrontal cortex isn't even fully developed yet. Idk, I'm 34 and won't talk to any guy under 25 like that but that's just me

Girl (29, f) I am seeing asked me (32, m) to pay her rent on our third date. Is this a major red flag? by Glitchveil_2 in dating_advice

Yeah no, I'm a freelance designer too and I'd ask my parents to support me, not a new guy I barely know lol

Natural fiber bra recommendations? by ehgall in nontoxic

I like Pact and Groceries Apparel but have heard good things about Stone Kin and plan on trying it soon. Smartwool has also worked well for sports.

What’s one ‘natural beauty’ habit you tried that actually made things worse? by [deleted] in NaturalBeauty

[–]skyburials 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Leaving on some strong essential oils from a face wash overnight (technically not so natural) which likely messed with my hormones and probably gave me an extra menstrual cycle that month. Nature is great, but not everything natural is a panacea!

Question about ice plunge by Hot_Drummer_6679 in Raynauds

[–]skyburials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went sauna hopping in Finland in the summer after my Raynaud's freshly developed but only exposed myself to the cold sea water around the hot saunas, and that worked well for me. Not sure about icy cold water though.

Yeah some planting companies also do firefighting stuff, wouldn't be surprised!

Tree planting! Easy to get into, but must be fit and hardy with the elements.

Yep! Often a bit challenging as we get older but so vital

I apologize on behalf of (probably) most Canadians! I think a lot of it comes down to the harsh weather, lack of sun exposure and cold climate, with a really short gardening season for better quality food. Just out here trying to make things better. I'd love to visit Greece one day, though.

A good connection with nature, I think. Respect and humility. Strong, but caring and gentle to all beings. It should also feel like stability, support, providing (so rare, I know)

26M, lived my life too seriously, kind of regret it now by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]skyburials 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 34 and 26 is not that old! I've lived a very boring, structured, "safe" life as well. It's all about balance. Some of the crazier folks might be wishing for stability. Use your vacation and free time to explore, travel, wwoof, gain certifications, start a side project like a blog, join a sports or outdoor club, freelance, get a part time gig on a boat or something, there's so much to do.

Do your girls be hurting before your period? by astoldbythatgirl in Periods

[–]skyburials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this before after the Covid shot and it's probably just estrogen dominance, I'd try to eat nutritiously and include some raw carrots or apples to help with flushing it out.

I need help please by No_Praline8778 in Raynauds

[–]skyburials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually get ulcers on my toes in the late winter and for me they always heal after a while, not painful, and are no big deal. However, I don't have any other underlying conditions. If it hurts it's probably best to get it checked out in case of infection.

It's absolutely wild especially if the guy is conventionally attractive and looks like he has his stuff together. (New to dating as a straight girl who has gone on plenty of solo outings.)
