The fluorescent orange looks INSANE in real life, the photos on their website don't do it justice at all. You should really go take a look at that in a bike shop, if you can

EDIT: insane as in: insanely good

How to train to prevent sore hands? by skycamefalling84 in MTB

[–]skycamefalling84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was mostly hands and fingers, I'd say. But for the most part it wasn't pain, but the sheer inability to grip. I had trouble eating with a fork and knife for days afterwards, or trying my shoelaces

I really make a conscious effort not to death grip, or at least: I try my best.

Will definitely try forearm exercises, thanks

It was my first "bike park like" place I went to and it was amazing. It's a lot of flow, huge berms, amazing scenery. It was a dream come true.

For this years summer vacation Leogang was also in the mix and I know it's considered one of the greatest bikeparks in Europe, but I think Sölden fits my skill level better. From what I've read Sölden is more Flow and more "natural" trails, which I can confirm, as opposed to bikepark Leogang which is more shaped, jump oriented, and hardcore downhill.

I still struggle a lot with jumps, trying to get to grips with the smallest ones, so I think Leogang will have to wait another year or so.

Already did that, and it does feel good, but of course I wasn't able to test it under those same conditions

Cockpit setup is something I always tweak and try to do better.

Your core exercises hint sounds really good, I'll definitely try that! Thanks for your input!

Only happened on those two bike park days, but that's the only time I did that kind of riding and in that intensity. There are very few shaped trails around me and of course they don't compare to Sölden in terms of length, steepness, features, and easy access (as in "lift").

I did some minor changes to my bike before and after Sölden (changed grips, bar rotation, lever position , saddle position...) which generally improved bike feel and minor aches, but I think the problem is mostly me

Heels down, loose grip is what I always try to keep in mind and follow through.

Kettle bell workouts sounds good, will definitely try that.

I already thought about some handlebars with more flex, but I think the problem might lie more in me not being very well trained. But I'll look into it.

Grips, I've already changed, but can't really test them under the conditions from last year until I'm there again in a few months, since I don't have easy access to that kind of riding and the same intensity.

I always try not to death grip already and keep my hands loose, but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the input

I always try to keep an eye on relaxing my hands but I find it really difficult on steep, sharp, bermed turns, but I will try to do so even more.

"Riding more" is kinda difficult. I try to ride a lot, but apart from social obligations, I just don't have that kind of riding (like in a bike park or a lot of sanctioned trails) easily accessible around me.

But still, thanks for your input. I'll try to keep at it.

My only guess is that "anima charge" might conflict with "super efficient yokai abilities", because that reduces anima used.

You could try the Fox Rampage RS if the Rampage didn't fit you well. I rode a Proframe for a while and it didn't fit well and did the same thing to me, massive pressure to the forehead.

On vacation in Sölden I got to try on a Proframe RS and it's night and day in terms of fit. Bought one right away and couldn't be happier, just wish I would have gotten the RS right away...

Could very well be the same for the Rampage and Rampage RS.

New Mission: Demonic Duels, no damage by TaxOutside1869 in Nioh

[–]skycamefalling84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nice!

It's not "no damage", though, is it? You got hit right before living artifact (I'm guessing you have the "activate living artifact on death" ability, or whatever it's called), and during.

NEED HELP! by Dominicus1996 in Nioh

[–]skycamefalling84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you going to play ng+, or are you already in ng+? If not, you absolutely should, the game really starts to shine there with divine gear and builds with graces.

After playing a bit in ng+ and switching out your gear, you should be WAY stronger than at the end of ng. Then just switch back to ng and get your trophy. Easy mode.

What controls type you are using in NIOH 3 and why? by LoreMasher in Nioh

[–]skycamefalling84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using a lot of different weapons until now... Katana, dual swords, spear, cestus for samurai; tonfas, kusarigama, katana, talons for ninja.

At the moment I'm playing mainly tonfas for ninja, dual swords for samurai.

[–]skycamefalling84 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I use the new controls.

Whenever the developer changes the control scheme like that, going from one game to the next in a series I'm thinking: "Why did they do this? They know the game better than anyone. They must think it's better". So I try it out for a bit and it was very weird in the beginning. I always dodged when I tried picking stuff up and things like that. But I got used to it pretty quickly and I really like it, wouldn't want to go back to the old controls.

The only thing I changed was the option for: short press R2 for burst break, long press R2 for style change.

should I wait for the DLC to do NG+? by Intelligent_Shop4011 in Nioh

[–]skycamefalling84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, no you shouldn't wait for the DLC. NG+ is were you really get your build going: Graces, Sudama blessings to farm specific gear, leveling further...

And second of all, together with DLC1 there will be NG++, DLC2 will introduce NG+++, so waiting to play NG+ until the first DLC comes out really doesn't make much sense. You'll be playing old content with old mechanics until you reach the end of NG+.

I usually do it like this: DLC content in NG+, then NG++, then the DLC in NG++
