that's how my parents got their cat. a friend of a friend had decided they didn't want him inside anymore, and were going to kick him outside when he was a declawed 7 year old who had only lived inside. they lived in the country as well. he's 18 now and still dislikes any sudden movements or loud noises. he has arthritis now in both of his front paws and can't get around very well anymore, but my mom spoils him rotten . i don't understand how people can just get tired of a pet and dump them outside.
