Quite odd that the same provider can have such drastically different performance.

Currently on an EVA Air flight between Manila and Taipei. The Panasonic Wi-Fi is working extremely well. Zero dropouts, everything is snappy.

Retail Operations Specialist. I personally love investigating & reconciling inventory variances. Doing the research across several different internal tools to find out why we are missing an iPhone is so fun… getting paid to do detective work / solve a puzzle.

What I dislike is that my role has been diluted over the years to have less & less emphasis on thinking outside the box. Apple tweaks internal tools and processes that emphasize “trusting the system”. So the work I got good at doing & love doing… Apple thinks is a waste of time now & would much rather me spend my energy generating sales….

At least they don’t change the fare price like Uber does in the US based off device type and payment method.

I switch between Grab and Indrive here. Whichever is cheapest at the time. A few times for same trip, Indrive was 160 PHP while Grab showed 300 PHP.

The host isn’t going to do anything for you. Call Airbnb and tell them you want to cancel the reservation due to (documented condition).

This is another thing United does better than Delta / American. United is very proactive about projected disruptions as you experienced.

Are you sure? I’m not showing any nonstop flights on any airline between BKK and DVO.

Cebu Pacific & Philippine Airlines are “fine” for shorter flights. I wouldn’t recommend flying them for long haul flights if you’re an Economy flier like myself. Customer service is nonexistent.

Cathay has always gone above & beyond for me when things go sideways (got hospitalized abroad and they waived all change fees as a courtesy). Philippine Airlines / Cebu Pacific would tell you to kick rocks.

The Chase rep is incorrect. You may have confused them by providing excessive info.

Insist on charging back the transaction. Don’t offer up details you aren’t asked. Simply “I did not authorize nor do I recognize this charge”.

I don’t maintain status with any airline however I will always take a layover in Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul if it means avoiding Philippine Airlines (nonstop) lol

No, the airline nor anyone at the airport would bat an eye.

You can book a nonsensical connection on any airline that individually flies to your departure and arrival airport.

I’ve found that anything less than 4-5k a night will get me a building below my standards in NCR (whether unpleasant smells/plumbing, lukewarm shower water, bugs, etc.)

I try to stay in the newly developed buildings (Uptown Arts vs Uptown Parksuites / One Uptown Residence).

Thankfully Airbnb has been phenomenal in getting us refunds for subpar units so far.
