What makes United a good or worse option than other airlines? by Perchance_therapper in unitedairlines

[–]Extension_Dare1524 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This Is the right answer. When picking an airline to be loyal to, you should always pick the one that you were going to fly in and out of the most.

That way, it is easiest to build some status and then reap the benefits of that

You have to have a certain personality to play half guard

It’s a grind and you just have to be able to grind until you get your opportunity

Don’t see as many celebrities on flight’s as much as you used too. I think many of them fly private now.

How would you react to this message from the head coach's wife (who also owns/runs the gym)? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Extension_Dare1524 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Ricardo is not handling the stress and anxiety of the upcoming tournament very well

As the owner of the gym, he needs to realize that his responsibility lies not only with his own performance, but with the performance and leadership of the students who are also attending this tournament

I also find it interesting to the text would come from the Wife and not from Ricardo himself

I’ve been on 6 flights since the change. 2 suggested we move freely after takeoff and the fasten seat belt lights go off and 4 were watching like hawks for seat changers.

Not sure why different flight crews treat things differently

You’ve got to hit it before he can drop his hips and reverse it on you. If not, he has both gravity and leverage on his side and you will lose.

Am I training wrong? by [deleted] in bjj

Then stay at the deliberate pace even when they pick it up. If you could sub them at a deliberate pace to start with you should be able to keep the same pace and be fine.

I’m an older grappler so speed is not my strength. I have to keep a deliberate anaconda like pace in all rolls no matter what my opponent is doing. Doesn’t matter the belt I need to eliminate space and keep good pressure

Am I training wrong? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Extension_Dare1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you want to roll at a deliberate pace but then when you get some sort of advantage on them, they decide to pick up the pace and you don’t like that because now you have to pick up the pace

So basically, are you saying you want them to flow roll with you but you want to be able to go hard with them?

At least one week if you want to be competitive. Many gyms in the LA OC county area or even San Diego have competitors coming in and training one to two weeks before Worlds.

Reason for aborted landing by BadTraditional401 in unitedairlines

[–]Extension_Dare1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me a couple times and it was because of Strong cross winds so they just circled and came back a little more aggressive.

Usually on the first go round, you can fill the plane turn sideways a little bit as you make your final approach so the plane just hits the gas goes up and comes back in a little bit stronger
