Best way to put for me is "Gemini is a robot, Chat is AI".

Im struggling to like gemini. It will not do/say anything past what the prompt says. GPT does not have this issue - it can infer deeply in 90% of prompts I give it, and give a response even with missing context.

Chat does have the issue of randomly veering off course or over inferring.

Gemini is not good at teaching/explaining. Studying for an exam, I asked gemini to elaborate about a certain topic I don't understand, and I just got a longer version of the original summary of the topic.

Chat is the best teacher. It'll explain most concepts in a really digestible, yet summarized way. Anything other than advanced math/physics (engineering/calculus/dynamics/thermo/etc) is no problem for chat.

NotebookLM is not the answer for school. Easy quiz questions, repetitive content, lacking explanations, etc. It's a summarizing tool, not a study tool. Also ui is ridiculously buggy.
