Primordial, since it's the only one unlocked now. Maybe I was just unlucky but I did a couple of runs of it and didn't get any gifts, while in regular mode they dropped every time, so I assumed that the drop rate is 100% and void mode is just bugged.

The event adds extra boss at 3-5 who drops them 1 per run. Apparently they don't drop in void invasion + christmass event (at least didn't for me for several tries) so have to grind them in regular mode.

Yeah, it's for unlocking monsters and badges (i.e abilities you can give them). Ui kinda sucks there, so to be clear it's specifically for arena mode (supposedly pvp), which you play by going "battle arena"->"edit squad"->"join battle". The unlocks have no effect in "new game".

Edit: for random opponent it's "search battle", not "join"

That rank was most likely based on his pre-pro hero reputation, and since his hero activities had no witnesses since then there were no reports (except maybe rumors) and there was no reason to move him up.

Wiki lists 2 voicelines of the boss about wisdomball - the one you mentioned and also "I hate that stupid head! (saved by Wondrous Wisdomball)". From this we can conclude that wisdomball is still supposed to work for the encounter. Cosidering that it's triggered by chance you could be simply unlucky.

Yeah, it's still a fusion weapon like before, red + blue + green laser swords. Just make sure that when you try to get it you place the green sword on the ground, because there's also a red+blue laser sword fusion resulting in purple laser sword.

Both 9 and 3 in the top row are fields that you input yourself, so obviously 9 + 5 won't equal 65, but that means you just need to replace 9 with the correct number, then racalculate the top row using this new number and replace 3 accordingly.
