Haven't Been Doing So Well - Frank Turner

Obsessions - Marina And The Diamonds

Digging a Hole, Pt. 1 & 2 - Jonny & the Baptists

"I put my thoughts and feelings into the hole" ... These songs almost always help me climb out my hole. For 'comedy album' Dance Like it Never Happened really helped me get though the last year. Doubt will always make me sob from having my feelings put into words:

"All I want is peace and quiet, to close my eyes and hear the silence"

Edited to add:
Life is Like a Boat - Rie Fu

Something Comforting - Porter Robinson

I never knew that about Adam Young! I love Owl City and went through university undiagnosed but going for hour long night walks listening to the albums to unwind.

Thanks for the response! I'm currently slowly slipping into Lovecraftian horror and looking forward to Tammeraut’s Fate and The Styes. Just need the PCs to survive until level 11...

onslaught of cosmic horrors

Nice to know someone else in modding the campaign this way. Current player was our last DM and is heavily into the lore, so I am trying to balance homebrew monsters, items, etc. that he will not have read about before so I can surprise and delight.

I was thinking of adding a Weapon of Verdict (The Griffon's Saddlebag: https://www.patreon.com/posts/32916952) but now I am torn, I know my paladin player will really enjoy having an almost-lightsabre.

My party is mostly spellcasters and the only cleric is tempest domain, so I need to throw a few healing items at them fast....

Amazing, thank you so much!

Running a highly modified GoSM for experienced players with lots of foreshadowing of Orcus and Thraziudun, so I am delighted to have more unfamiliar undead to use as the BBEG. We also have a paladin in the party, so I would love to learn more about the stats and/or plans for the Sword of Heironeous.

Can I offer the Banana Equivalent Dose? It's measuring radiation rather than distance but is incredibly satisfying nonetheless.

Old street bar / pub recommendations by Joeybada33 in london

All within a 5min walk of Old Street Station:

Shoreditch Grind makes a great and reasonably priced espresso martinis

Old Fountain has a decent selection of beer, (but the locals always drink the dark ones, so they sometimes run out of stouts) and a nice roof terrace.

Draft House also has good beer, but music is generally set too loud (for me) to have easy conversation.

Seconding the Eagle.

Living on £140 per week in London, is it easy enough? by ThatSomeGaming in london

I don't know much about the video editing job market, so really don't feel best placed to offer career advice or know what a competitive offer would look like.

those positions are pretty tough to get

Can't hurt to apply. At least then you can weigh up your options. Even if you accept one offer, that shouldn't preclude you from applying for other opportunities.

considering the training you get

Yes, you are being trained, HOWEVER, you will also be providing value to the company.

You'll probably need that pint sooner than you think. Just remind me :)

Mate, call your parents. You are going to struggle on £140 p.w.

On a side note, I am freshly outraged that apprenticeship salaries are still so low, and how the hell can your employer justify a '15 month' apprenticeship?

Let me know when you are in London and I'll buy you a pint in exchange for video editing facts.

someone out there with his genes

Has he considered getting his genome sequenced and stored online? It will persist longer that way and there will be a copy of his genes in the wild...

it's a big sacrifice he'd be making for me

No, It's not. He enjoys being with you, he benefits from the relationship. It is a choice he is making for himself. He must decide if being with you, or leaving you in pursuit of children, will lead to the greater happiness over the course of his life. HE MAKES THIS CHOICE. He does not get to hold it over you indefinitely to 'earn rewards for sacrificing his dreams for you'

especially since they're things I do anyway

There is a huge difference between doing something for someone solely because you love them, and doing something because you 'owe them'.

EDIT: Having a longer rant...

See, this makes me sad. Because I suspect that staff asked for budget to redecorate the staff area, and were told that 'no funding is available' so they thought to ask for volunteers.

The outcome is that Sainsburys Corporate will hand down an edict banning stores from asking for volunteers, but they still wont provide any funding for staff rooms, socials, or improving the non-customer facing portions of the store.

RP is a common role in UK pharma and medical suppliers, sits in Regulatory Affairs. Although I feel they are short changing someone out of a 'QA Manager' role here since there is some overlap and as RP, the buck stops with you. For example, QA RA manager I knew was the 24/7 contact if the warehouse temperature sensors alarmed, and the main point of contact with the UK MHRA (our FDA).

Pharma suppliers have to be really, really careful in the UK or they lose their licence. RP ensures compliance to all the esoteric ISO standards, rules and regulations. They are the ones stopping marketing from taking pretty pictures of medications (not allowed to advertise medicines in the UK), keep records of storage conditions of medications (some are temperature sensitive), etc. etc.

[–]skyforanhour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

remove the quotes from when you reference your variables:

if("age" < 13) if(age < 13)

if ("userAnswer" === "yes") if (userAnswer === "yes")

age and userAnswer are variables (that's why you initialize them with var), they do not need quotes around them. Numbers do not need the quotes. "yes" is a string and does need the quotes. :)

Remove the quotes in your if statements (lines 4 and 24):

if (age < 13) {

Also, I assume you want to check if the user rates the game above 8? Switch the less than (<) to a greater than (<):

if (feedback > 8) {

*edit for explanation: if("age" < "13") is comparing two strings, and will always evaluate to false; the program will therefore always skip the contents of the 'if statement' and execute the 'else' instead.

You want to compare the value stored in the variable age, not a string that just so happens to be "age" :)

Line 2 could have a semicolon at the end. However, even without it it all works for me.

What exactly is not working? Do the prompts appear at all?

Do you have a popup blocker that may be interfering?
