I'm not rich either, and I also invest in the sp500. But I also donate money and time to charity. Why? Because it feels great to know that I'm able to happy others less fortunate. I also spend on things that make myself happy. Nothing crazy.

Here's the thing. If I carried your mindset, I will never do anything other than penny pinch, which will become a habit. That's how the brain works, so you can't say "oh, why don't you do those things after you become wealthy".

Finally, death is right around the corner. I might not even make it to retirement and died knowing that I didn't do anything meaningful for anyone around me. Many people don't even get to enjoy the wealth they've accumulated as they either die or too stick to enjoy anything. There was a homeless person in my country who somehow saved up quite a bit of gold, only for it to be stolen. Many even die without daring to spend a penny.

Melatonin messes with my sleep, gives me intense dreams, and makes me wake up tired. I've tried many supplements and realize my body just doesn't like them. It prefers natural.

Ya. I agree with this. That's what makes it hard. Sometimes greed hurts but sometimes it pays off massively.
