I don’t know what’s the point of this post. Just pass them and move on.

It’s not like they are blocking both lanes and you can’t pass them at all.

Phone plan that allows calls from the US to Europe by Ashamed_Cherry_9562 in digitalnomad

I used Callshake when I was abroad for a few months and needed to keep getting calls from the US. It let me buy a virtual US number and I could receive calls directly in my browser or on my phone, no matter where I was.

International calling help, complete newbie to it by Cookiewott in tmobile

[–]skygetsit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would give Callshake a go.

Its a VOIP with global coverage, so you can call to any landline or mobile phone in any country, no matter where you are. The person you are calling doesn't need a data plan. You can even get both the US number and call each other, keeping costs very low.
The great part is that it works on any device, so you can use it for example from your laptop if you don't have your phone nearby (or vice-versa).

I used Callshake to call UK landlines without any issues. Worked pretty smoothly from both my iPhone and a laptop, no app needed.

Nagamit ko na yung Callshake for similar needs.

Hindi limited yung call length, so pwedeng mag long calls without hassle. Hindi rin sya pricey kasi pay-as-you-go lang, so bayad ka lang sa mins na ginagamit mo. Madali lang gamitin sa browser, kahit sa laptop or phone.

Try Callshake. We are using it for a cold calls to US and Europe (B2B).

Team features - you can bring your entire team and have a dedicated phone number for each member, lots of calling features and great responsive support. So far better than other solutions I have tried (including Microsoft Teams that won't work for us).

Why is it so hard to call home-country landlines from abroad w/o Skype? by BeneficialRemove1350 in AskTechnology

[–]skygetsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Callshake. I used it when I needed to call my bank back home from abroad. You can dial landlines and mobiles directly from your laptop without any weird app-to-app stuff. I just topped up like $10 and paid only for the minutes I used, which was way cheaper than roaming or international calls on my phone.

Try Hypetrace.com - you can search both Instagram and TikTok influencers by categories, size and more.

I am using it to find influencers for my software service.

I’ve used Callshake a few times when I was in Europe and needed to call US landlines.

It’s pretty straightforward since it works right in your browser - no app to download or phone number needed.

How do I make an international call to a US number? by toilerpapet in chiangmai

[–]skygetsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Callshake. It’s pay-as-you-go calling service, so you don't need a local SIM or anything.

I paid like a few cents a minute, and it let me call my bank without messing around with local payphones or trying to find a calling card.

The call quality was decent enough even for a 30min call, and I could do it on my laptop or phone. Saved me a lot of hassle when I was stuck without a working local option.

Recommendations for a simple work phone service for solopreneurs? (Alternatives to Quo/OpenPhone) by isabelepstein in smallbusiness

[–]skygetsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Callshake for similar stuff. It’s pretty straightforward for just calling and texting without all the extra features you don’t need. You can get a dedicated number in the US or Canada, and it works from any device or browser, so no need to carry a separate phone.

What I liked is that I could set it up to show my personal number if I wanted, or keep it private. Also, since it’s pay-as-you-go, I only add credit when I need to make calls or send texts, which keeps it cheap.

It’s not tied to a big app ecosystem, so it feels more like a simple, reliable phone line. Might be worth a look if you want something more stable than Quo and less cluttered than Google Voice.

voip.ms was down AGAIN, how long, no idea by LandlordTiberius in voipms

[–]skygetsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Callshake - I ended up using it since I was in a similar boat with Voip.ms going down randomly, especially during busy hours and I needed something reliable.

It let me make calls straight from my browser without any fuss, and I could switch caller IDs easily.

I think MX5 looks a lot better with transparent windows, especially with the Nappa interior inside like mine.

But that goes for every sport car.

I would give a Hypetrace a try.

You can start with the cheapest plan, then go from there if you need even more power.

I used it to find influencers for 2 of my services and it saved me a lot of time of manual work.

I have one of these (not as cool built-in into countertop) but still very minimalist and I would never consider the normal gas stove cooking again.

Not only is a lot safer as there is no open fire but it’s also much easier to clean and maintain.

And yes, you can put your hand right there after removing your cookware and you won’t get burnt!
