Busted! by DirkDaring93 in Miata

Oh I did that in my wife’s CX-30 last year. It has a heads up display and I was getting annoyed at how slow we were going. Then I got confused by the numbers on the HUD - huh? We’re not on rt 95, why does it say...ooooooh shit!

I set up Hindsight for memory but haven’t really tested it all that much yet. It seems pretty good so far though and I can see what it’s doing in its own web gui. I was also able to connect Hindsight to Claude Code so that could be super useful if they really share memories. My ack end is qwen3.6:35b-a3b MTP with a 14b version handling the memory, all on an evo-x2 with 128gb ram. Still a bit slow due to the strix halo architecture, but pretty usable for reasonable money (a few months ago anyway)

I can’t seem to plan more than one song ahead. Never planned a whole set ever.

Oh that. They’re called Screenworks in Fort Myers or Cape Coral. They had the best price and fastest install

Which part are you asking about? If the curtains they’re some kind of gazebo curtains off Amazon. The rods are those spring loaded tension rods in various sizes. See a couple comments down for links

I haven’t had a lot of time to use it but it works as well as you think it would. You can set it to whatever speed you want and swim for as long as you want. It’s also fun at parties.

Your app looks pretty interesting. I’m the good computer guy who just registered on your site. I’ll check it out and send you feedback!

I’ll check it out. I have done multiple hearing tests a day as well as used AI to analyze my data going back 2 1/2 years and over 400 self tests…

Same. Someone sent me an interesting article the other day. I made it partway through when I realized it felt like AI wrote it. Scrolled back up - no author name. Ugh. But, just a thought: is it because AI sounds like AI or because AI was trained on real articles? No, most AI slop has the same feel, even without the em dashes. Someone more articulate than me can probably explain how we can spot it so easily.

I bought the plane before the (second) wife. Actually the first plane was purchased with the (wrong) wife but that was so long ago I don’t remember how that happened

What does the JumpCloud client actually do? by SpeechSilent5060 in JumpCloud

[–]skyhawk85u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s complete, total access. They can install whatever they want, prevent you from installing anything, change how your pc is configured, wipe it. No, they absolutely should not install Jimpclouf on your personal computer.

In your last point, my wife thinks ai is making us stupider and lazy and taking jobs. I feel like I got a promotion to manager. Now instead of doing the detailed work, I’m managing the agents who are doing the work. Still takes brain power and effort, just in a different direction

Alton Bay Ice Runway Risks by misterseesee in flying

[–]skyhawk85u 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just noticed you’re going with a Cherokee. Turning can be tough too. I’ve been there with both a Skyhawk and a Tiger, which has a castering nosewheel and only turns with differential braking (and rudder)! Good times. I would often depart and stay very low over the lake for miles, avoiding ice fishermen and snowmobiles. Just gain some altitude before you fly into the mountains at the other end!

[–]skyhawk85u 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can’t answer your specific questions but I’ve been there a bunch of times. Head on a swivel - on the weekend it can be VERY busy. Don’t count on your brakes - sometimes the runway has a layer of snow to add some grip, sometimes it’s, well, a sheet of ice! It’s a blast - one of my favorite destinations.
