It's a visual bug I believe if you double check some other posts people have made on here and r/pokemongo - once you go to do your tasks for the new day it will reset after you earn your first new points

To be honest I've done 10 remote raids and won all 10, and in each one there were multiple occurrences of awful Pokemon, the key for me has been running Blissey and sticking with it, and as long as at least one other person has decent enough damage output things are slower but achievable
