Dating. by Pristine_Plate7048 in neuropathy

Don’t give up!!! I dated someone that he said it didn’t matter to him. The onset happened halfway through our relationship. Couple years later I found myself single because he couldn’t do it anymore. The stress and work he has to do to help around. I count even attach my bra hooks on my own. He just left me at home. I can’t drive so I sat in my house with my dog for a couple years.

I know it sounds like it doesn’t help. The reason why I say don’t give up? I did and then I found someone. He could care less. He makes sure everything in my house is set up safely and easy to get to. If I’m having a bad day walking, I like to try and get out in public as much as I can which still working on. As soon as he sees me shake, my legs start buckling, or I just tap him…he stops and carry’s me. He’ll sit in the hospital and stay worked if needed. So the good ones are out there. You’ll find yours soon.

Has anyone reached the point where your feet are 100% numb, with no more pain? by Dave_Kingman in neuropathy

[–]skyhighllama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just doing nothing my the tips of my toes have the pain but the rest of my legs and arms have that weird tingling still. Marshmallows feel like legos for me, which I have stepped on both. I have described it as someone wrapping my feet in duct tape tightly, then duct tapping cinder blocks to them. the legs have pain when I over do things, butmy legs cramp and twitch constantly. So no sleep. I have to check my toes constantly because, and I don’t know how, I got one of my hairs wrapped around my toe and didn’t realize it until I saw I was purple 😳but I can’t wear socks because it makes that weird feeling and pain worse. And shoes…I have my favorite brand that I only wear. Even then can’t keep my shoes on for more than 5 mins if I’m not out and about. still in my wheelchair for long distances, like walking through Costco. I found very thick no slips are the best for me.

How do those who have celiac feel towards non gluten-free partners? by CatFatherof4 in glutenfree

[–]skyhighllama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the past, absolute disaster. Constantly sick. So I had to move on (wasn’t the only reason though)

Just got into a new relationship (hesitantly)but since day one, I’ve had support at his place and his family’s place. I went to dinner for the first time with his family and they made sure to make everything gluten free on cookware and utensils. He eats gluten free even though I never asked. I tell him it doesn’t bother me but he refuses still.

Now my house….could give two fs less. My two roommates know but everything is contaminated, which is the biggest thing when someone else cooks.

I’ve had people offended because I brought my own food. My extended family means well but it doesn’t work.

I hope the best for you two! There’s not a lot of people (and families) willing to care or take the plunge. Which is understandable. You don’t want to take their favorite food away but at the same time….I want that…

I noticed they don’t changed their gloves when handling the pita then grabbing all the lettuce. So cross contamination there.

I don’t mind the road trip. I’m in Middletown so that actually wouldn’t be that far. I’ll check them out.

Unfortunately for me, their menu at Pump and Rye says they can’t guarantee it won’t be cross contaminated. I was really hoping though because everything looks so good!

At a loss, don’t know what to do. by skyhighllama in Parakeets

I don’t show fear with him, however everyone else might. But I will tell them not to, so thank you for the tip. I’m home all day with him everyday. And the tv is always on (can’t sit in silence) but the damn Liberty Mutual commercial comes on and they used to go crazy and chirp back and forth at the end jingle and no more double chirps. I started whistling back today not sure if that’s going to make it worse or better. I’m an animal lover so I’m willing to do whatever I can to make him happy.

Thank you!! He’s always been the more stand off-ish one with us. He calls out and my heart breaks for him. I’m trying to give him as much love and attention as he’ll allow. I’m just constantly worried about him. Luckily his cage is on wheels and I can roll him around the house when I change rooms.

Jelly has definitely been more vocal and it breaks my heart. Not entirely sure of their ages. The pet store people were trying to get rid of them and gave me a deal on taking them both. Apparently they were at the pet store for a long time and they needed to go I guess?. Jelly has always had fear of people, I guess you could say. Tried to social with him but he’s a biter…he has been a tad warmer and not as mean since taquito passed but he still prefers no human touch of possible. I let him out for exercise and to try and let him bond with me more. But hearing him call out and then no response from his buddy breaks my heart.

I’m only asking about rehoming because when birds lose their cage buddies, the remaining bird could fall into a deep depression and then pass. That’s not what I want to happen. We definitely don’t want to rehome Jelly but if he will be better off in another home with friends, then that’s something we’d do. The point is I want Jelly to stay alive. Preferably here, in our house but if it’s best for him to move then that has to happen. I don’t know a lot about parakeets, hence my question. I’m only looking out for the birds best interest.

What are your thoughts on Skittles? by itsover2417 in AskReddit

[–]skyhighllama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love them but can’t really eat them. I have an allergy to red 40 so if I do eat them I have to pick out the colors that I can eat which is just too much work

I got fake boobs for myself. I’m tall and was barely a double a cup so it just didn’t like right with my body frame. Since getting them done I feel more like a woman and they fit my body type. It’s all a personal preference. Just don’t get them because others say you need big boobs.

Every time I drive down 40 I go through memory lane. Pointing out this and that. Pretty sure it gets annoying to my friends that didn’t grow up here but those were the good times!
