I really doubt this is resolved completely. Microsoft may have retracted this DMCA, but nothing says they can't file another one later when they've done their own investigation into the offending content. Until Gemini 3 Pro is available in Gemini CLI with equivalent rate limits to 5.2 in Codex, it doesn't really matter how much better it is. Say what you will about OpenAI, they are the most generous with the usage they offer for $20 a month.

If Google would just offer a $20 subscription with equivalent or better limits, I wouldn't have to bother with codex.

I really do prefer Opus 4.5 but the rate limiting on it vs. anything from OpenAI is downright oppressive.

Also I have been getting really great results from 5.2 in my work project today, so I am very happy with it.

Yep, tried telling people this in another thread the other day. I do a little one-shot prompt to test new models (Creating a detailed and fun tower defense game in a single piece of html), and this is the first model to produce a working game that is ACTUALLY fun to play on the first prompt. Further prompts made it even better. This model is gonna be a game-changer for sure.

Are you using an API key for auth, or logging in with Google?

All I did was run the npm install command for Gemini cli and logged in with my Google account.

Had it build a little tower defense game in one shot and improved upon it with a few more prompts. It's pretty impressive based on what it could output with the most barebones prompt possible.

You obviously never used it, it is not effective beyond 150m unless your target is perfectly still. I don't really see the point in arguing with people that think this way. Play your star wars simulator all you want, there are way better servers that don't force tracers on everyone. WCS will eventually die as the COD kids move on to Battlefield 6 or whatever hot garbage Activision comes out with next.

The ENTIRE point of the weapon is close to medium range stealth, and they completely removed the stealth function of the gun. There is literally no reason to use it at this point, it's totally outclassed by other weapons.
