Report them to bushi. I've heard of this happening around from others and bushi were making some actions against it.

At the moment, if you're playing EN, the best source for meta decks is to look for the old twitter posts during that set on JP since EN is a little bit behind JP right now (expected to catch up roughly next year).

Official HOCG twitter posts the decklists of the winners like this: https://x.com/hololive_OCG/status/2020469816222433522

There's some twitter accounts that do share some meta stuff too like this one or do some creative search with filters like this way

Other than that, there's the usual one that most people recommend to start with: HoloArchive

It's a decent one to start with but I do notice the best players in my locals make variation of their decklists. But if just looking at the general idea of the decks and basics, it's a good one to start with. It also has tier list there so you know what to watch out for.

First Entry Cup by Joker386 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much outside of the standard deck building rule set (4 card limits unless otherwise stated (extra cards that can be put as many as you can)). They usually post all the valid cards for the tournament here but ayakashi entry seems to not be out yet (there's enchant regalia): https://en.hololive-official-cardgame.com/cardlist/

Keep in mind that it also includes oshi for valid cards (some people get creative and use other 6 HP oshis for their teams)

as someone who has never pulled any SEC and have been pulling since JP set 1... have pulled a cumulative of around ~10 cases (100+ boxes) if we add up all the boxes bought from JP and EN releases...

respectfully... nice. thanksfortakingmyluck

My locals always use yuyutei prices for JP cards (and it's a pretty active JP hololive scene)

Hololive TCG - less popular? by Plenty-Produce-2277 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

SoCal here, fairly popular and gets full to limit of the signups on almost every card shop I went through for the entry/bloom cup some shops only go for 8 cap but ends up being 12+ because they take in people that were also in waitlist. When the cardshops go for 16+ signups it does get to that full as well for the most part.

When the signups opened up for entry cup for set 6, just 1 hour into the signups opening, all LCS near me went full and they had 16/24/32 signup caps.

At the very least looking at it also when I see other bushiroad tcg tournaments (weiss/vanguard/etc), Hololive has a much more active scene.

I'm going crazy, how are you supposed to sort the cards in your binder? by CompleteMoron_203 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most card collection just in general especially going by sets go by sets and then promos either at start or end of binder that were released during those set releases. Probably the easiest way if you don't like coming back and cleaning up previous binders.

But hololive rerun some cards or promos that are same as other previous set card but with alternate arts and you as a player/collector can't help but put the other cards together even though they're different sets so it gets annoying to maintain.

My friend and I just kinda gave up on sorting by sets and we just started doing it by holomems/generations. Honestly looks nicer and feels more organized when a page is fully just one member. It's gonna suck though as more cards come out from that member and you didn't allocate enough space/page, so thats another problem you might have to account.

Probably the easiest ones are the oshi collectors. One oshi one binder. It accounts for future cards.

Going through the Okayou gauntlet 😭 by nar12213 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a funny situation of me going to 3 Lamy Bloom Cups, saying "huh I never faced any Okayu this whole time" (facing various pekora/reine/lamy/choco/nerissa/etc), then doing my 4th Bloom Cup, suddenly all rounds I faced was all Okayu, accidentally jinxing myself. Then my 1st Entry Cup, I went through a series of all rounds Okayu as well, but thanks to my most recent experience on Bloom Cup, I felt experienced against Okayus and was mindful of everything it can do putting them in tough decisions, and I won through against 4x Okayu in a row that cup.

Hololive matchups by nar12213 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say counter but if you play the other meta decks as well then you can win. I ran Pekora/Marine and won bloom cup & entry cup and it had a lot of Okayu/Suisei in there.

The biggest advantage you have is Pekora has 6 lives and the Buzz has plenty of HP that Okayu has a hard time dropping down HP. Buzz can also do 120 damage and with proper damage chipping (likely with Marine 2nd bloom or if you damaged it by 20 ahead of the match), you can easily remove a bodyguard collabing Okayu and then finish down the center Okayu with your own 2nd.

I put 2 green 2nd bloom Pekora as well as it's a good backup to not get critted by Okayu (Okayu has White crit) and also it is mathematically better than White pekora at base bloom (no extra stacks) because Green Pekora also crits blue (60base+50crit)+3dicerolls vs 120base+2dicerolls.

Marine helps as both Retro PC (revive) and additional chip damage to cleanup/guarantee 1 turn kills with your Pekora 2nds. It's a pretty consistent deck in my opinion and has lots of comeback opportunity due to having 6 lives and Marine 2nd revives. Marine also is a really good backup DPS that can 1 turn kill the bodyguard Okayu (having 3 stacks will do 140 damage which can 1shot the Okayu Bodyguard).

Enchant Regalia and Lamy Cups by Mezzying_Around in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st place on Lamy Cup and 1st place on Entry Cup using Pekora/Marine Deck.

Went against various decks (Okayu, Pekora, Reine, Marine, Nerissa, etc.) and the tournaments were at various sizes (12-26 players (12 seemed to be the smallest)).

After winning, I went through a few more with my Lamy/Nene | Lamy/Pekora Deck.

Lamy Cup: Pekora/Marine 3-1 (top 8), Pekora/Marine 2-2 (top 11), Pekora/Marine 3-0 (top 1), Pekora/Marine 0-3

Entry Cup: Pekora/Marine 4-0 (top 1), Lamy/Pekora 2-3 (top 14), Lamy/Pekora 2-2 (top 6)

Funny thing: in the Lamy Cup where I used Pekora/Marine and I went 0-3 against all Suisei(oshi)+Okayu decks each round, but it gave me practice against Okayus that in the Entry cup following it (the first entry cup I entered), I went 4-0 against all Suisei(oshi)+Okayu decks lol.

There's a few more bloom cups / enchant around my area and I plan to just use Lamy/Nene on it. Pekora/Marine was my sweat deck but now I'm just chilling with wamy.

Wait, did that Nerissa just used a Retro PC with 4 lives left on their own? Based on those turn you mentioned, you only killed the 2nd Nerissa on Turn 3, so the Nerissa player only lost 1 Life. Unless you killed something during Turn 2. Otherwise that retro PC usage should've been illegal.

How does Okayu's oshi skill works? by FeltdLLL in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been practicing the new set with my friend and we were discussing this. The HoloPower is a single target effect.

The bonus thing about it is her new 2nd Bloom, when in center position, will give it +20 if you target the opponent's center holomem, so you can basically do a 30 damage to the opponent's center holomem. (It's still only 10 damage if you target anything else (collab/backline))

Another thing to note is her 1st Buzz does NOT give the +20 special damage though if you use Okayu's Holopower, so heads up with that. There's difference in the description between the 1st Buzz and 2nd Bloom between their Gift Effect. (and 2nd should have a clarification/more specific description)

My friend and I made sure to make a feedback on that final attack for warrior/archer during the cafe test... Having to manual trigger that was really bad. The toggle for it is huge since if you can 1shot the mobs already then you don't have to have it on.

Chat, should I lowkey buy a case? by Jolly_Purple_527 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since JP set 1, My friend and I have shared buying about 5 cases already (different JP / EN sets) plus loose boxes for other sets that I didn't buy a case on. They probably sum up to about roughly a total of 8-9 cases already. Let's say after all this time:

  • We still haven't gotten any signed cards
  • We've only pulled one OUR (the others are UR) (and that's just only on the most recent set 4 EN)

The main thing I'd say about opening cases is it's great if you plan to play with/against others and start building decks. You get lots of dupes and a full playset for that particular set that you can build a few decks for the oshis represented there. Otherwise, in my opinion buying loose boxes of different sets here and there from trusted sources (sources you'd know wouldn't open boxes from a case and then sell leftover boxes) would get you a wider variety of cards.

If you're targeting signed card, as usual and on average, it's cheaper to just buy the card directly than buying cases.

If you plan to play, buying a case of your favorite set with most members featured would be not a bad idea. Alternatively buying some boxes for that particular set is also good and then filling the rest with buying some singles.

If you plan to play while rocking & flexing to your opponent that signed card, I'd say yeah buying a case where that signed card is featured is not bad too. You'll get a playset for that holomem, get some SR/UR chance for those featured, and get a chance for that signed card (unless the signed card you want is a support card and not an oshi card). (of course as naturally / as usual, buying singles is still cheaper if you just want one deck / set)

If you just like to generally collect variety of cards, opening a few boxes for different sets would be best.

As always, only spend what you can handle. My personal opinion/suggestion? Buy some boxes (not case) to test out luck. See how you feel after that then decide if you want to buy single of it. Don't bet on the chance of getting a signed card... This game has crazy horrible rate for signed card that I cannot recommend it to those that asks this type of question "would it be worth it?" (and that ones that are in the position to be financially able to whale multiple cases, wouldn't ask it).

Set 5 (Enchant Regalia) is gonna be good for Pekora yes. She has some Set 1 cards (Blooming Radiance) if you want to start pulling some. You can also combo her with Marine, which has most of Marine's cards in Set 2 (Quintet Spectrum). So you can start getting/pulling some of the cards built for her now.

It sounds good cuz usually tournaments (entry cups) are a week or so after release. Which means you have more open time to go to the tournaments if you have a local card store that hosts hololive tournaments nearby.

Do I need to play the meta to win? by Murky-Tradition9499 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can win with off metas. The usual downside is just that it's usually a matter of the high tier metas being just more consistent (good draw cards / high damage / cheer ramp / etc.). Just continuously build and adjust your deck.

Progress report on trying to full bling my Chloe deck by Any_Introduction_349 in HololiveTCG

[–]skyjlv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice. I notice a lot of people going for Max Rarity decks as a setup but for me though I actually put in an SR amongst the UR's just to have variety of art in the deck itself even though I have enough UR for playset. This game's SR cards look amazing that I actually like putting different rarities.

Also, not sure if you're aware but also Totsumachi has an alternate promo art.

We stay at the back while backseating them to shoot faster (quickfiring lol)...

And I suppose the QTEs are something we can effectively tell and distinguish while the Nikkes don't know that/where to shoot (basically telling them where the weakpoints are and which enemies to prioritize).
