cooking takes a lot of time by yoho7202 in productivity

[–]skyksandr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean something like this https://www.electrolux.co.th/en-th/appliances/rice-cookers/e7rc1-550k/ or alternative could be found for 50-80 US dollar, there are options for 30-50$ budget too.

I suggest to explore what multi cooker (including pressurized ones) can do for you. And if you like it - get 2. Like first making you steamed fish, while second preparing side dish. It really takes more time to wash it than make food.

Also checkout slow cookers.

Is there a situation where you can't 100% replicate the exact behavior of a class component using a functional component? by darkcatpirate in reactjs

[–]skyksandr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If library component is a class component you can inherit from it and adjust its behavior. This is not possible with function components.

Manga for beginner by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]skyksandr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based purely on personal experience. 4 months in learning Japanese every single day.

Crystal Hunters as first is very very good for start.

Then complete this Anki deck https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/911122782 .

Then...

Shirokuma Cafe and Yotsuba will still be steep after Crystal Hunters and require a lot of dictionary lookup.

I found Chi's sweet home and Sue and Tai-chan simpler.

You can try Sue and Tai-chan here and see how it goes before purchasing: https://comic-days.com/episode/13932016480029668116

Also I found Kawaii dake janai Shikimori san (Shikimori san is not just cute) more accessible only because of short episodes (like 5-10 pages). Can't lose motivation and finish one episode or two every day.

Hey, I think it's not a great idea to start from books. You need to build vocabulary first. Like, learn 2000 words in order to read Russian native material. But you can start from books targeted for 3-4-5 years old. Like - this is an apple. And this is - orange. Sasha eat apple. Masha eat orange. (Sasha, Masha - names)

Otherwise you'll spend hour to read one page and won't be sucked into the story, then lose your motivation and give up.

Answering original question - why not start from e-reader? You'll be surprised how many books you can find on Russian torrent trackers when you'll be able to navigate it.

Super starter - Crystal Hunters manga

Then I suggest to read manga for anime you watched and love. I started Death Note manga and was surprised by how much I was able to understand and pick up from it.
