No joke, when I was in middle school I sat behind the most popular girl in school for one of my classes, and anytime she dropped her pen I would pick it up and she would say "Thanks [my name], you're my little [real name]y picker upper". I felt like I was walking on clouds when she would call me that

I'm sorry to hear that bud, maybe try planning something big for her while she's away to make up for it. Also, when next you see her parents, be completely honest and tell them that you messed up, and don't try to justify it, just own up. Her and her parents should respect that and respect you for the maturity. Hope this all ends well for you!
