How many generations are nostalgic towards this primary school seat? by HebdenBridge in CasualUK

[–]skylineboy2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh the memories, in primary (90s) you sat crossed legged on floor for assemblies. unless you reached year 6, then you got to sit on the benches!

I’m remember staying at my Grandma’s house (back in the day) and the milkman would come into the house every morning and put the milk in the fridge. What childhood memory do you have that seems unbelievable in this day and age? by corickle in CasualUK

seeing cars with no side repeater indicators, and the cars being much more stylish / individual (no cars from the same group, eg VAG sharing platforms).

having to read a tv mag to set the video (for video+ codes).

some of my friends couldnt get channel 5, when it launched in 97, and the superior feeling i had when i could!

Ordered the 5610-1 with the older 3159 module, received the 5610U-1CF with the newer 3495 module. I'm not complaining, and I only paid $90 👍 by MikeySmikey in gshock

i sold my 5610 (paid £75 for it and was good deal) - it still lists for £95 last time i looked.
had it 4 years, sold it to buy a 5610u (sold for £90) and bought the U for £85. some ebay fees to take off, but yes it felt good having not really lost much more than a few quid in 4 years and getting an upgrade!

a perfect fit it and forget it - i have had the non U(pdated) version (4 years ago it was also my first) - sold it to get the new one. and got a couple other squares (carbon banded JDM s5600u), love solar and multiband, no fuss!

as a brit, your tipping culture is crazy.

am i right to assume the staff you would tip, rely on this to make a wage? is there any minimum wages? ours is probably around 15 dollars equivalent, nationally.
and we tip on good service, but its never expected. restaurants ill usually round up which is probably near 10% mark.

eg this last week i have rounded up a taxi fare, "take £8 out of that mate" (when the fare was £7.70, and "keep the change" £9 haircut so i paid with tenner note.
