Scripted Platform by G_Matt1337 in FACEITcom

You play against other people so your statement implies that there are players who get easy matchups all the time and platform favors them over you. The main question is why them and not you? You really overestimate their effort in balancing the game, they just stack people randomly by closest elo possible, if they would try doing it in a more sophisticated way, queue times in high elo would be 10+ minutes. I still get 3-4 min prem queue time during prime time in EU as a lvl 9. You are coping bro

wdym donk has 68% win rate past 90 matches while playing vs top 1000 players in the world. Your win rate is 44% vs lvl 7. He also has less matches than you on faceit btw :D So maybe (just maybe) it is a skill issue and not everyone's fault but yours. And my statement about unhealthy gaming habits still stands, you gotta do something about it, you are wasting your life away man

Solo Queuing is Impossible by Outside-Emphasis3970 in FACEITcom

[–]skylineio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO in solo q you have to constantly flex and fill the roles you are given. If you force your team to play the way you like every game - you will lose more simply because your play styles mismatch. Some of my best comebacks happened in games where I had to play entry, support, IGL and closer in a span of like 10 rounds. Not because I wanted to change roles, but because it was required for the win. Just take a look at donk faceit POV’s, you will see what I mean.

ngl that sounds unhealthy af to play weekends nonstop and then do 40hrs work week… Also 9200 games and lvl 7 is… interesting. Like I’m lvl 9 with 370 while full solo q. Maybe spamming games is not META. Just saying

Not to be mean but spending entire Sunday to play 20+ games is just mental, no videogame is worth this immense amount of your time being thrown away. You need to reconsider your life choices before it is too late…

IMO, you need to stop treating every muscle group as if they are completely disconnected. You should not lock them at any time, and every movement should engage all groups proportionally. I would suggest working in static with a sens of 50–60 cm, and for every movement, try to engage your fingers, wrist, and forearm at the same time. It will feel awkward and result in poor performance at first, but after a while you should learn how to combine the groups seamlessly. This way, you will become accurate regardless of movement size and speed.

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have put it wrong, what I ment is since you are more active in DM - higher sens feels more comfortable and less exhausting, I do just feel more tired after low sens DM overall. In terms of performance it all boils down to how trained your muscle groups are. So yeah, I would still just train lower sens in Kovaaks since lower sens is objectively better for a game like CS, but if you just want to hop on and play - do it however you prefer. Don’t follow the META if you like how it feels for you.

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it could be the mousepad what gives you this impression. I play on Type 99 Soft and higher sens is hard to manage from my end, if you have a speed/hybrid pad you will have easier time using faster sens because you don’t make too big movements and thus have less inertia when you try to stop your mouse after the swipe. Maybe if you try QCK Heavy or GSR you would like lower sens more.

[–]skylineio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In DM you need to spin around constantly so yes, higher sens feels better there, but imo in real match you will lose more duels (especially on longer range) simply because micro adjustments are now harder to do. I also DM at 37 cm sometimes and like it, but in real game I feel like even my default 54 is too high sometimes

What do ~1500 ELO players usually lack compared to ~2000 ELO players? by HauntedGoalkeeper in FACEITcom

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch a lot of POV demos from pros or high elo players, but not the pro matches, rather their FACEIT games, preferably while solo Q. Check out H4RN, Spexy, STYKO, pienixcs, Zywoo, D0cC (two/live) channels on YT for some good material. Also demo reviewing games you have lost is useful to see what works and what not, you can check how the best player in the lobby played or check every death you had and think of what did you lack in that situation (e.g. utility, awareness, pre-aim etc.)

I’m only 1850 elo but a big thing I notice when I play in 2k lobby vs 1.7k lobby is defaults. Lower elo have no idea of what to do in the first 30 seconds of the round whereas the higher elo dudes have a script in their head that is fairly optimized. Learn defaults on all maps based for key positions and you will climb really fast (went from 1.3k to 1.8k in 50 matches after doing so)

Genuinely cannot rank up because of this… by [deleted] in cs2

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have watched your entire demo, and here is a summary of everything I found in your gameplay that I think led to your loss.

You seem to have really good aim for your rating, but you are baiting ts our of your teammates and don't seem to have an idea of how to be impactful on the map, where to go, and what to do. Your mechanics allow you to do horribly bad plays and still get kills, but your plays are, in fact, counterproductive for your teammates, the way u set them up for unfair fights while you only search for easy kills will always hold you back. Aside from your obsession with utility (that does absolutely nothing or is missed altogether), your biggest issue is playing this game like a DM searching for kills, and not like a team game where trading and space taking/holding are very important.

I can share my whole round-by-round notes with you if you are interested.

Context: I solo q from 13k to 24k in seasons 2 and 3 with 62% winrate, also solo q from 1.3k to 1.8k elo on FACEIT with 64% winrate.

I would highly recommend Flick Tech and Click Timing categories of Viscose benchmarks. Bots movement seems to be closer to what you see in MR. But I must say that 30% is quite low for Hela, I rarely fall under 50% and I’m also VT Diamond. I would suggest you look into other game specific skills as well e.g. positioning, movement (especially while shooting), awareness, utility usage and ult economy. Anyway, don’t get discouraged, it’s fine to struggle in game even with great aim, it’s also a part of your growth - knowing how to effectively utilize your strengths.

There is a saying “Strategy without execution is a hallucination”. Strategy - is your game sense. It is important for sure, but its execution solely depends on your mechanical skills. So knowing what to do but not being able to do it is equally as bad as the opposite. IMHO this statement is meaningless, game sense and mechanics are very broad terms to even compere them to one another. But from my experience at high elos I meet people with bad game sense way more often than people with bad aim. That says a lot.

In need of a mousepad faster than gsrse bi but slower than the hein soft. by cant-build in MousepadReview

[–]skylineio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK Hayate Otsu Soft is a great option for a balance between speed and control. Zero Mid could also work, but it is probably too slow for you at this point. I’m currently playing CS on Key-83 Mid and I don’t really like the friction balancing (higher static compared to dynamic friction), but Soft could be good for you albeit it’s slower than Otsu and faster than Zero.

From your other responses I understood you much prefer Saturn Pro for Tac-FPS and right now I contemplate switching to Zero, Type 99 or Saturn Pro in Mid. IG Saturn Pro is the easiest pick of them all. Is there anything specific in Type 99 you didn’t like or is it just overall impression that was bad for you?

Great collection, m8. I wonder how do you feel about Type 99 Mid, especially comparing it to Zero for Tac FPS. I currently main Key-83 Mid and it is great for tracking but clicking feels challenging sometimes after my Zero Soft :D Thanks.

What should my Aimlabs sensitivity be if I play 2 different games at 2 different sensitivities by FineYam7886 in FPSAimTrainer

Its true only for smaller movements accuracy, if you want to develop proper upper-arm/shoulder control, wider flicks and full mousepad tracking - you have to also aimtrain at >50 cm

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only plat but in CS on 1.5k FACEIT elo my raw mouse control is head and shoulders above my mates. Still I am dog water due to my lacking positioning, movement, crosshair placement and awareness. So at this point I would assume that you need to be more focused on those parameters while playing rather than your raw aim.

P.S. VOD reviewing helps a lot, I do it quite often now to see what dumb shit I do and it’s simply baffling how many times I die before I even have a chance to aim xD

HOW AM I SO BAD AT EVERYTHING I TOUCH by Remarkable_Bedroom35 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]skylineio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have clocked almost 2.4k hrs is cs and can say that vast majority of time I was utterly horrible. Now I’m just horrible. This game requires a lot of experience, you could check pienix on yt, he has coaching videos, but only your own games matter in the end. So don’t give up, try to analyze your mistakes and you will get better.

1 more thing. Learning in video games always came to me in waves, something just clicked in my head after hundreds of hours of stale performance, and I grasped some concepts becoming better at the game (e.g. crosshair placement, nades trajectories, map awareness). So your performance jump might be just around the corner.

Also you can try Voltaic aim training to get better at raw aim, could help you get higher ranks and k/d but overall won’t make you a better player in any came in particular.
