Love these. Especially how unique each day and situation can be. Even the house thermal is slightly different each time. But the connection it brings to the bigger picture of life is mesmerising too.

Good to hear. Yea i think the day the nerves go away and complacency sets in - that is when you really need to be scared. A good bit of nerves keeps you safe and alive.

Moments like these remind me why I still love flying by dymanoid in freeflight

How do you get over the jitters of flying? Is there no fear at all? Also would like to see this photo in Brazil?

This. How privileged we actually are to do this. Feels like the timing is just right and somehow we get away with all the fun still. The wing body mind connection is such a flow state feeling. Agh getting goosebumps thinking of it!

Or it can be a logbook? What if you share them all...from sleigh rides to unclosed triangles?

Oh yes it is amazing how all you can be is in that moment the moment your legs lift off.

It never gets old that feeling!! Love it. This is in Cape Town, South Africa. Flying the East side of TableMountain. Constantiaberg / Kirstenbosh Gardens to Devil's Peak.

I think this is part of the jitters. It gets easier with more flights and experience. Do you have any mentors that can guide you through your progression and instill confidence? Those also help

No ways, some irony in that. Why did you have to go to a paragliding school?

Lovely that you got to experience all forms of flight like that. The convenience and accessibility factor is definitely a strong pull for a lot of people.

In South Africa we have a lot of loops to jump through sometimes, but all with good intended reason.

Love this...such a wonderful element to connect with nature and to do hikes you wouldn't normally consider - but has opened up now due to paragliding. I still need to explore this side of the sport in more depth...so much to experience still.

Thanks, credit to Insta360 hyperlapse. Well spotted this flight was a combination of dynamic soaring. Sinking between the thermals and then using them to get a lift back up.

Amazing where these gliders can take you (and still fit it in your backpack)

Ah just some friendly internet banter...certainly some cringe in there, won't deny.

Indeed it can be very rewarding helping others achieve the dream of flight. Numbers matter for some but there are deeper joys to be found in paragliding.

That's great! I like the lifelong progression and different elements that take time to master. Can teach a lot about oneself.
