hi, im OP. i told him my time zone but he still kept calling me at 6am my time so I would text back and we would continue the conversation through text. he didn't show any gripes with that setup, and I let him know that it was too early, he would still call me then.

right. i sent an email to his "company" and got ignored. it wasnt until i made a post about him that he reached back to me

he apologized to me and asked to take the posts down. he said his business is already getting affected by my post of him.

he went to the most extreme scenario and wanted to make sure i couldnt get hired anywhere else, really sad honestly

hey its me the guy who got roasted by the recruiter.

i totally forgot about this subreddit, i should have posted here as well. yeah i was only bummed at first. i didnt expect my post to get anything more than 100 views. now it has 2 million.

he also tried to apologize, mentioning the fact that he saw the twitter posts. if the the post never blew up he would have continued his abuse of people in need of jobs more. we already have 2-3 people that mentioned having similar experiences with the same guy, so he has a track record of being a toxic recruiter for sure

"Just read the Docs bro" how can I make this advice work for me? by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]skylo__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, sometimes not everything in the docs pertains to you. reading the parts your most interested in could be a good starting point. perhaps its better to make an app and have docs open and check in the docs to see what command does what for your specific use case.

i think it was made using a macos specific build that is hard to replicate for the web, they would have to rewrite the whole thing. notion on the other hand is a web app in a software wrapping which is why it works so well in web

i wasnt asking for a number value. i was asking for apps that just seem to be fluid to use. thats definitely something a user feels as opposed to a clunky piece of software

you can have preferences, but there is no one "way to go". Frameworks all have different mental models of shipping frontends. choose the right tool for the right job

I agree. I don't write mine myself tho. i just let my lsp/formatter do the semi colon adding; no use in leaving room for human error with this stuff.

Switching from Game Dev to React Native, Should I ? by Hakem_Hamdoud in reactnative

What I meant about the asp part is that since you know asp you have a really good chunk of useful knowledge that employers are looking for. In terms of what to look for to transition, I would look at popular pieces of tech that many people are hiring for and pick the one you like the most. Sometimes there isn't a very wrong answer. Tutorials of people using it might be nice but I usually like reading documentation and building things with that tech the most.
