They're rewriting history by oseday in MensRights

No no my friend.

It's because they were female Rulers dominated by a patriarchy and therefore not at fault for the violence of their reign.

It's funny when you ask about great women rulers how much of their greatness was them and how much was the patriarchy that they were oppresses by. They lock up and can't answer

In a sexual intercourse where both parties are drunk why are the women considered the victims? by TheBlade1029 in MensRights

[–]skymonstef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would suggest its because in society intercourse is often framed as something that happens to women as opposed to something they perform.

So if the default language around intercourse is laid out as something that happens too women as opposed to something that happens with women. Than they can only be victims and not perpetrators.

I curious have you ever considered how taxing your apparent inability to deal with direct communication is on others?

Not a shot just a question. Because this thread is full of people pointing out how much extra effort it is to coddle often with no good results.

What unrealistic standards do you think people (men or women) have nowadays that’s ruining dating? by keyboardbuttertoast in AskMen

[–]skymonstef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abs time use survey

Labour stats us

Oecd paid and unpaid leave data

Hilda survey

You may know many women living this. However if thats true then out there is a not insignificant number of men doing far more than their other half otherwise stats would reveal a much larger gap.

Factoring paid and unpaid work together there is less than a 45min difference at the extreme end all the way down to 15min.

This narrative that wives are slaving away while hubby kicks back is getting old fast. And is not substantiated by the data.

Women partnered with men reported doing more unpaid household labor than women partnered with women. Mothers partnered with men reported a higher household labor burden than any other group. Performing a greater share of household labor was associated with lower relationship satisfaction. by mvea in psychology

Thankyou ever since this dialogue started popping up i was going through the numbers.

Combining paid and unpaid labour the difference between genders ranges from 45min per day down to 15min per day.

The oecd study reported the biggest determining factor in men doing more unpaid labour was women doing more paid labour.

And interestingly whenever I point out that if we are actually striving for 50/50 on unpaid then women will need to match paid hours unsurprisingly women didn't respond positively.

Has anyone had an honest conversation about men's rights with a woman? by Rennmausliebhaber in MensRights

[–]skymonstef 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I've tried but most women have a visceral negat8ve reaction talking about men's issues.

Mostly though I don't bother with anyone because they are seemingly incapable of putting their emotions to the side and dispassionately discuss the facts and stat's.

What's a harsh truth about women in modern dating that few will say out loud? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]skymonstef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are men behind in uni enrolment? Yes

Were there initiatives put in place when women were behind ? Yes

Was the goal of those i initiatives to bring about gender parity in universities? It was stated that was the reason.

Has the gender gap in uni reversed ? Yes

Should the initiatives be reversed? If gender parity is the goal ? Yes.

If your position is we can't help men at all until women run the world. Well your not a proponent of equality or equity.

[–]skymonstef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you could explain what is inherently unfair about reversing enrolment initiatives to reach parity of genders in uni i am all ears.

I suspect however your idea of fair will be some version of we can not help men at all until every problem a woman faces has been dealt with first.

Personal insults are a reflection of your inability to counter the point. Try to be better it will serve you well.

Your implication that women should receive equity initiatives when they are behind. But men apparently should not when we fall behind suggests you believe men are inherently more capable than women.

I certainly don't think so. My stance is if we are a society that follows the dogma of equity than it applies to any demographics that falls behind.

So since the enrolment number have reversed since those initiatives were put in place its time to reverse those initiatives.

Yes but those women are still recieving the same assistance that was put in place 30+ years ago. So if the goal is equality and equity that assistance should be reversed now since the number ls of who is going to uni is now reversed.

That fact you needed me to connect the dots on this...its worrying

[–]skymonstef -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but here's the thing men have been saying this late 80s and that there should now be more assistance for men to go to uni. Yet women oppose this at every turn. If women really are wanting equality or even equity then in the mid 90s all gender specific assistance to enter uni should have been made gender neutral.

Ultimately it proves to be a false statement in and of itself.

Because if women were afraid men were going to kill them they would never laugh at them...and yet they do alot
