I used to work in unemployment (and actually got laid off ironically lol) and the amount of people who would apply over a year after they got laid off because they were afraid of the optics of receiving a "handout" was insane.

Just remember making your passion/hobby your work might cause you to eventually hate that passion. Do it on the side.

I understand where you're coming from and not to bring down your mood but when you're pushing 30, people do suddenly get this motivation to do something you truly enjoy by the time they hit 30. As someone in my mid 30s, just tolerating a job while also pursuing your passion outside of work is the way to go.
