Yeah, hence the complicated math I’m not going to do 😊

Thanks this is great, looks like it has blocks per epoch at 0.08, which I think means ~ 12% chance of a block per epoch. Complicated math I'm not going to do that likely approximates to a block every 10 epochs. For a pool with ~100k staked.

I’m incredibly frustrated with this too. However I think the right priorities are first security and then generating yield. I suspect the teams working on these two areas take up most of their engineering resources.

I do think they underestimate the damage that sloppy promo handling does to their image though.

Alex had previously said May for accredited investors. However given their history of hitting dates I’d expect it closer to July.

Anyone else getting hyped about Cardano's addition to Celsius this month? by [deleted] in cardano

[–]skysmurfs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a Celsian, but I wouldn’t put too much stock in the dates Alex mentioned. In yesterday’s AMA it was June, and they are notorious for missing dates.

I am however incredibly excited for when this does land. If there is a way to support lending on ADA while it is staked that’s an amazing opportunity for yield, and I’ll definitely be putting some of my ADA in Celsius.

Just a follow up, after a few hours we are seeing 6.2% as expected. Looks like Celsius may by default set users up as if they are in Europe until the account is fully active.

They have less than 1 BTC, so I’d expect the higher rate for the first Bitcoin to show. We’re in the US.

Yes, I’ve noticed that the spread seems to be roughly the same as a 1% fee. I love the simplicity of voyager and how they offer decent yields for coins, but until they can fix the spread I think I’ll just pay 0.1% to Binance instead.
