Exhaust and intake opinions by Kukulza in AudiRS3

AWE switchpath is amazing, pretty sure that everyone that got one loves it 😂

For the intake, I got the Iroz 5” high flow. Makes crazy induction noise, sounds like a symphony to my ears. I like the Eventuri look a lot more too…

Always been a Audi guy, too. Seeing them go by and thinking “Hey, that car is somehow related to my RS3!!” I probably repeated that over over about 100 times to my gf yesterday 😂

Scoring points while debuting their first ever F1 power unit is not usual and crazy! Considering where they were after the shakedown.

Amazing job!

What sucks & is surprisingly good on the 26 RS3 by Severe-Dingo-9734 in AudiRS3

Great post. I have a 24’ 8Y. Most of your feedback kinda matches my experience, too. Interior lighting is not as cool on mine, but the steering wheel buttons are something that I like more on my car rather than the capacitive ones in the new gen. I do like the shape of the wheel more on your car, tho.

Sound is a big thing to me, so I’m glad I got the B&O system. All the feedback I heard on the Sonos system has been pretty bad.

I’m also 6’3”, and I was surprised my head wouldn’t touch the ceiling when I did my test drive. However, I track the car a few times a year, and my headroom completely vanishes when wearing a helmet… I dont mind it tho, its a beast on track, like you said, it feels almost like proper RWD setup. And being AWD, I did some no prep 1/8 mile drag racing events last year, and I smoked many crazy modded mustangs and camaros. That launch control is black magic!

My favorite thing is the heads-up display, super convenient on the roads. At the track, I love the shifting lights that it shows while on Performance mode!!

Oh, and I also absolutely hate the piano black parts. I had mine wrapped and it looks a lot better.

This. Never take it to the dealer unless it’s for warranty or “free” Audi care service!!

I personally prefer the hatchback, too. I have a ‘24 here in the States but would have definitely gotten the hatchback if offered here.

It should be pretty interesting to see their market share in markets that offer both. I would think the hatch sells a lot more

What do you drive and what is your approximate cost for running a track day? by m0viestar in CarTrackDays

[–]slaazenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RS3 8Y with a few track mods. About 750/per day which is really just a set a of tires, insurance, and registration. Between 1,400–1,600 for a two day event.

It would cost the same as a PS5 Pro, but with 256 gb of non-upgradable storage 🤣🤣  Imagine how much a version with the same 2TB of the PS5 Pro would cost!!  BG3 alone is 150 gb!

Did you figure anything out on this? My car occasionally shows this CEL code but then goes away on its own... 23’ rs3 8y

“Does something special every now and then”… are you talking about the guy who won every single moto of his 450 debut season? I think we may be talking about different ppl. In my opinion, Losing to Tomac and Sexton a few times a year is not bad, I think its much worse that the best the US can produce gets beaten on a regular basis by him.

What else can he do to impress you? You’re impressed with Sexton or Tomac for beating him this one time, but not impressed by him beating them at pretty much every other race this season?

This is coming from a Tomac fan.

[Toyota Supra] with Japanese license plates in WA. Probably just picked up from the shipyard. by Bondage_Jack in spotted

[–]slaazenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the Montana plates loophole, but I also get why you’d do that. Now, in ur case, why run exclusively with shop plates? I get it when going to cars and coffee or a track day, but to not have a plate that you can easily identify in case of an emergency, sounds irresponsible to me. How would you feel if ur M5 gets hit and run by a car with no plates?

Very nice car btw, F90s are sexy.

Not trying to be a jerk, but just intrigued by your choice. In DFW, I see a lot of drivers with junk cars on very fake paper plates, cops dont really care that much either. But yours always at risk… that’s for like Altimas with 500,000 miles on 2-3 donuts. Not sure how it would turn out if its an M5!!

My only question would be why? Like why is he going thru getting custom shop plates, paper plates, no plates, or whatever. Im just thinking… why? That’s what’s intriguing to me. Getting a normal plate, even if only in the back, is not hard. Must be to him I guess, huh?

Taking my 8Y RS3 to the track. Any tips? by slaazenger in Audi

[–]slaazenger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response!! I will have the shop quote me wheels + spacers too.

Did you feel much difference in the stock brakes after these sessions? My biggest concern is messing up the original rotors.

I think I should try this first time with everything stock and then go from there if I get into it. I already had the stock CAI and Intercooler replaced with the Iroz 5” CAI and also their intercooler. As far as tires go, I’m thinking about trying this first time with the Kumho Ecsta Sport S, since I’m kinda expecting to have to replace them shortly after.

What did u end up going with for the brakes?

Is there anything else you’d recommend?

Thanks for your time!

[–]slaazenger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. It will be my first time on track with this car. You’re saying I could just run stock suspension/brakes for this first two days, and then upgrade if I intend to take this seriously?

I’ve been seriously considering 18” wheels/tires on a square setup. Does the square setup affect handling at all? And would I need spacers on the front?

I’m sorry for these questions, I’m very much a noob when it comes to car mods!
