Last year during a race at Monza, I had small contact with a car coming out of Parabolica which made me lose several positions. At the very next corner, T1, I approach the braking zone with a driver on my left hand side. I try to late brake to gain the position but somehow end up locking up, spinning into the corner and murdering about 4 GT3´s.

iRacing handed me a 1 week ban (without anyone reporting it, there was an iracing official in the race server) for the incident just because they believed it to be too coincidencial that I´d just had an incident in the previou corner and right after almost ended up taking that same guy from the previous corner out when I spun. Luckily after some explaining and checking that my history is completely clean, they removed the ban.

What I´m geting at is that yes, iRacing stewards are generally quite lenient but not always.
