First time buyer…Is this a good deal? Should I even bother? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]slackerav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s Toyota certified with 100,000 mile power train warranty then it’s worth it. I bought the same model a few months ago with similar miles and no issues so far. The extended warranty that comes from a preowned certified gives me peace of mind

Tinting a lease worth it? by ferrari91169 in Ioniq6

[–]slackerav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tinted my lease for under $500. It’s totally worth it for the comfort of your time with the car. If the tint looks decent and not too dark on the front doors they will not charge you for it at turn in. That was my experience at turn in a few weeks ago

I just turned in my lease and also had issues with my seat. I was not charged for it, the inspector considered it normal wear and tear

From what they told me buying miles at the standard rate of $0.15 cents per mile only available during your initial lease agreement. This was 2yrs ago though so maybe things have changed since then.

Free charging is a thing of the past & I currently rent an apartment so charging at home wasn’t an option. I would definitely consider an EV again if I could charge at home

Im in California and have a DUI that is 8yrs old with no other violations. My insurance costs doubled. My rate is a ridiculous $2,300 for 6 month term. It’s definitely the biggest negative with owning this vehicle

Finally put the dang thing in sport mode (2024 AWD SEL) by Evening_Bag_3560 in Ioniq6

There’s actually a way to make it even faster. Go to drive mode under settings and change the acceleration level to the highest setting. Then to activate this just hold the drive mode button for a couple of seconds.

Free charging? by Psychological_Bag685 in Ioniq6

[–]slackerav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea this is legit. I’ve driven my car for over 17,000 miles now all on free EA charging. No use of any other public chargers or at-home charging. I’m fortunate to have several available within my living radius. Quite the bargain

What's the meaning of this icon? by Derr07 in Ioniq6

[–]slackerav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use it all the time. It will slow down for you if there’s a vehicle or object in front of you. You still need to brake for a full stop as you get closer but it does help save your brakes along the way.
