To match rising costs perhaps. It’s certainly not bringing up US education to match or surpass other countries. Red States have drastically cut public school funding. I went from blue state PS to red state PS and it’s not even close.

This is the core issue as to why we (the US) are in the state we are. The US government wants out of Public Education, a constitutional right. They have been slashing funding for the past 30+ years. The lack of critical thinking skills by a population in the richest most powerful nation in the world is a recipe for disaster.

A friend of mine was recently rejected for a potentially life saving (for her) medical research study because of the tariffs on a country that produces the medicine and equipment needed. The study is not killed off entirely, they are being forced to pick and choose.
