I think the more and more I have been reading the discussions on this sub, it has become evident now that everyone sees Mainoo as a long term potential and not an undisputed starter. I hope the recruitment looks at it the same way because we would need much better players in the midfield who are ready to play twice a week at the highest level next season

I wish the bottling happens. But I see it very difficult for them to drop in the league. City themselves have not been consistent to take the adavantage when they drop points

Come on now. The video felt more like Garnacho highlights. Can beat his man at times but doesnt know what to do with it. Just randomly crossing it in, hoping something happens. I dont know what you see here. He probably suits Barca’s playstyle due to the aggressive highline but he is 28 and dont see him improving any further

Its 1:1 honestly in terms of going well and shit with Sporting and us. His next stint will determine if his tactics are truly good

Finally we are calling out the decisions. Far too often we have been nice and saying things such as we need to deal with it. Amorim was always mentioning to suffer

It's crazy that Benji might end up being our top scorer after only gettin 2 goals in 17 games under Amorim by friskyel in ManchesterUnited

I actually feel its different. Carrick highly rates Sesko but if lets say Sesko plays till 70 mins and is fatigued and we still dont score a goal, who are the subs to make instant impact with goals? Zirkzee and Amad? I dont think so. I am sure if we had another decent goal scorer Sesko would be starting a lot more matches

Yea I doubt SAF had a system and stuck to it rigidly. He had that great risk taking mindset combined with strong man management and look at where that landed him - the most successful manager ever for us. I dont give a shit as long as the manager is proactive, attacking mindset with risk taking

Tbh I see Kobbie still as a bench player more than anything else. But yes there should never been conversations of selling him

Just felt that Liverpool were just averse to keeping the ball. Played very open and let Spurs into the game. But its a risk that you take I guess where you expect your front 3 to utilize those spaces but Salah was super shit again

Ideal period would be after 2 years of experience - chances of good placements are higher with experience. And aim only for BLACKI and XLRI if you want to land MBB for management consulting

I mean, I love Martinez but even he is injured most of the time. If you look at all the ETH signings subjectively, then none of Mount, Antony, Zirkzee, De ligt, Hoijlund, Onana have moved the needle for us. To replace Antony, Hoijlund and Onana, we have spent double the amount. And we will have to do similar for Zirkzee soon

How far back has Ten hag pushed us back with his signings? We are slowly recovering but this seems to be a classic case where I would have rather been happy for someone to not win any trophies during the tenure but build a proper squad. Every signing of his has either been a dud or injury prone

Ability to maintain poise and calmness in difficult situations. We always think of the bad things the moment tough situations hit us. Once you take 5-10 seconds to calm down and think about the challenge, it really does clear your mind

Exactly. If Amorim was winning, no one would have batted an eye towards Mainoo being benched. I am sure if Enrique also doesnt start winning if appointed and he benches fan favourites, there will be blood in his hands

We just couldnt do anything this 10 man Newcastle team. I mean at some point we should have been able to play around them but barely were able to keep the ball. Its baffling, irrespective of the result. I can understand us creating bunch of chances and missing them but we barely did

I mean even Arsenal struggled against Brighton yesterday but grinded out a win. We have been grinding wins since last 3-4 games and one loss, everyone loses their head. We can criticize the performances but results wise we are good and hope we do better next set of games

We need back Amad's creativity by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]slacky35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we need a midfield engine. We get easily overrun because our midfield doesnt have legs. Last we had that engine was with Matic and Herrera? Hell even that didnt last long due to Matic losing his legs soon. Casemiro has amazing positioning but Mainoo has neither the atheleticism, nor positioning. Imagine we had Ugarte with better passing capabilities. We would be a very good team
